Learning that our school plans to tear down the century-old library and a modern network learning center will be built on the same spot,I am writing to express my concern about the matter.
I don't think it's appropriate for our school to do so.First,the century-old library has witnessed both the development of our school and the growth of students all the years.Second,the library has a unique combination of Chinese and western architectural style, becoming one of the most popular landmarks of our school.For the reasons above,the library leaves a good memory on the students when they study here.Therefore,it's high time that we preserved it,instead of pulling it down.
My suggestion is to restore it to its original style and equip it with new facilities to meet the students' need of modern network learning.This way,we can make the library a cultural heritage of our school.
