最近的一项调查显示，94%的英国人承认自己在过去的6个小时里谈论过天
气，38%的人表示他们在过去的60分钟里谈论过天气。
那么为什么英国人要这么做呢？这个国家的天气有什么值得谈论的地方吗，
还是仅仅是文化上的古怪偏好？
(一)地理原因
英国位于各种不同气团的交汇处：北面的北极冷空气，南面的温暖热带风，西
方的潮湿海风，以及东方的温带大陆风。这些风在英国相遇，使其气候变得温暖
潮湿和难以预测。虽然这不会导致极端天气，但它确实会引起异常的天气现象。

在谈论天气有关的话题时，也会遵循一些不成文的规则。首先，话题总是以问句
的形式出现，即使是在语调上（例如“又下雨了？”）。其次，回答问题的人必须同
意。不同意是相当严重的失礼行为。如果有人说：“很冷，不是吗？”而你说：“并没
有这样觉得呢”，对方会有点吃惊，觉得这样很不礼貌。
(三)社会文化差异
其实，天气话题也会出现在其他文化中，只不过对话的性质和内容会有所不
同。在各文化中，个人需要保持一种微妙的平衡。一方面，他们希望得到社会其
