1. What+be+主语+like即what…like句型。
询问事物的状况，如对天气、气候的询问，人物和事物的外形及主观特征的询问。 What is the weather like... 天气怎样？
其中weather这个词经常用it来代替如： What is it like today 今天天气怎么样？ What is the climate like... 气候怎样？
此外What is the weather like today,可以用how is the weather today 来替换，两者所要表达的意思相同。
What is your new house like 你的新房子怎么样？
2. climate 和weather
climate：气候，指某一地区数年间的天气状况；
weather：天气，指某个特定的时间内晴、雨、风、雪变化；
What is the weather like... 天气怎样？ What is the climate like... 气候怎样？
3. like
①vt.喜欢、想要；
②prep.像...一样；
be like: 像...... She is like her mother.
look like:看起来像… They look like twins.
4.零冠词
用法口诀：以下情况冠词免，学科球类三顿饭，名词复数表泛指，季节星期月份前
1) 某些表示国家机关、机关团体、阶级等专有名词前的冠词通常省略。但是如果这些国家名称是由两个或两个以上的普通名词构成的话，前面必须加the. Eg: He comes from America.
the People’s Republic of China中华人民共和国 the United States美国 2) 季节、月份、节假日、日期、星期等时间名词前不加冠词 Eg: We go to school from Monday to Friday.
3) 三餐、球类和娱乐运动名称前不加冠词 Eg: have breakfast play chess 4) 当两个或两个以上名词并用时，常省去冠词 Eg: I can’t write without pen or pencil. 5) 在称呼或表示官衔、职位的名词前不加冠词 Eg: The students take him to President Lee. 6）抽象名词表一般概念时，通常不加冠词 Eg: Failure is the mother of success. 7) 复数名词表一类人或一类事物时，省略冠词 8）by接交通工具时，不加冠词
9）物质名词表一般概念时不加冠词 Eg: Man can’t live without water.
5. be from和come from
be from和come from都可以表示来自某地，二者意思相同，只不过两者在表达中句式不同，
如：Where do you come from 你来自哪里？
另一种表达方式是：Where are you from 你来自哪里？
6. in
表示在某个月份里通常用介词in。类似用in的时间短语课文中还有 in April（在4月），in June（在 6月），in September（在 9月）等等。
7. sometimes
adv. 有时，间或：
It is sometimes hot and sometimes cold. 天气时冷时热。
一般现在时的运用，一般现在时表示经常性、规律性、习惯性的动作或状态或者动作呈现规律性的一种时间状态。
一般现在时的标志词及短语：sometimes、usually、regularly、often、always、
every year、every week、every day等等，在做题中见到这些词一般情况
下用一般现在时。
8. some time、sometime、sometimes的区分
Some time: 一些时间
Give me some time to think it over:
给我一些时间仔细考虑
Sometimes：有时
一般现在时的显著标志
It rains sometimes.
Sometime：某时
When will she come back 她什么时候回来？
I am not sure, maybe sometime next week.
我不确定，可能下周的某个时间。
9. 关于某某国家某某国家人常考的单词
China: n.中国→Chinese: n.中国人；adj.中国的、中国人的。
America：n.美国→American: n.美国人；adj.美国的、美国人的。
Germany: n.德国→German: n.德国人、德语；adj.德国的、德国人的。
England: n.英国→English: n.英国人、英语；adj.英国的、英国人的。
France: n.法国→French: n.法国人、法语；adj.法国的、法国人的。
Russia： n.俄罗斯→Russian: n.俄国人、俄语；adj.俄国的、俄国人的。
Brazil: n.巴西→Brazilian: n.巴西人；adj.巴西的
Holland: n.荷兰→Dutch: n.荷兰人、荷兰语；adj.荷兰人的
Hollander也可以表示荷兰人。
Italy：n.意大利→Italian: n.意大利人、意大利语；adj.意大利的、意大利人的
