Unit 10 You're supposed to shake hands.
本单元主题属于“人与社会”范畴，涉及“世界主要国家的文化习俗”。围绕世界各国的礼仪和习俗，要求学生了解各国文化背景、礼仪习俗，学会不同场合的得体表现，提升跨文化意识。
Section A主要围绕“文化礼仪”这一话题展开，谈论不同国家在不同情境下的文化习俗。Section A中要掌握的核心结构是be supposed/expected to及“It's＋adj.＋to do sth.”句型。要求学生能够大致听懂有关不同国家文化礼仪的简单介绍，能够在听、读中获取相关信息，并能模仿输入的语言，针对各国风俗习惯恰当地进行表达。
Section B在Section A的基础上对礼仪习俗进行拓展，主要介绍不同国家的餐桌礼仪。本部分还通过听、说、读写活动进一步巩固be supposed to 等结构的学习，让学生了解和熟知不同国家的不同风俗习惯。课文涉及不同国家的餐桌礼仪，呈现了与话题相关的表达，如a bit nervous，go out of one's way to do sth.，make sb.feel at home，be comfortable doing sth.等，还有一个重要句式“It's impolite to do sth.”。以上内容不仅拓展了单元目标语言，丰富了表达形式，还为口语和书面表达提供了更加丰富的词汇。

Step 4　教师要求学生带有情感地朗读对话并进行练习。请部分学生展示、表演对话，教师注意对其语音、语调及情感进行点评。
