Unit 13 We're trying to save the earth!
本单元主题属于“人与自然”范畴,涉及“环境污染及原因,环保意识和行为”,并用主题图片表现噪音污染、空气污染和水污染等内容,目的是为了让学生对环境的破坏有一个直观的认识,从而激发学生强烈的社会责任感和对社会未来发展的思考。
Section A的重点是让学生掌握与环境污染和环境保护相关的词汇和句型,同时引导学生关爱动物、保护环境。教学难点是让学生学会正确使用连词和结合生活实际讲述如何保护环境。
Section B在Section A所学的基础上,进一步谈论如何保护环境。教学重点是让学生了解环境保护的方式,并落实到积极的行动当中,同时还有阅读策略和写作技巧的训练。教学难点是让学生在阅读文章2a之后,根据所给词根找出相应的衍生词,并理解前缀和后缀的不同用法。

2.能够运用现在进行时、现在完成时和被动语态等时态的句子描述环境污染、环境保护和循环再利用。
3.通过谈论污染,环境保护和循环再利用,培养学生爱护环境和保护动物的意识。
4.理解不同国家对环保工作做出的不同努力和贡献。
5.要学会充分利用词根和词缀积累词汇,提高记忆和识别单词的有效性。
1.重点:用现在进行时、现在完成时、情态动词以及used to句型来描述环境污染的事实以及如何保护环境的建议和呼吁。
2.难点:
(1)运用本单元的句型谈论环境的污染与保护。
(2)能阅读有关环境保护以及对污染的处理方式的文章。

导入一 图片导入
Show the pictures about noise pollution,air pollution and water pollution to the students.
Then the teacher says,“Nowadays there is more pollution on the earth.Pollution problems are serious for us.What's the problem about pollution Do you know?”
And ask the students to say pollution problems.
导入二 词汇导入
1.教师在黑板上写出environment一词,让学生进行“头脑风暴”。
2.将学生能够联想到的词呈放射状写在黑板上。
3.将话题逐渐引入到“如何从身边的小事做起来共同保护环境”。

1.听说课
(1)Listening to the tape
Step 1 教师要求学生先观察所听部分的句子,根据句子的意思和句法结构对需要填写的内容进行预测,帮助学生在听录音时更有效地捕捉关键词汇。
Step 2 教师播放录音,学生独立完成活动。
Step 3 教师再次播放录音,学生检查自己填写的内容,然后与同伴相互检查答案。
Step 4 学生听录音,跟读对话,教师提醒学生注意模仿录音中的语音和语调。
Step 5 学生阅读教材后面的听力材料,找出对话中导致air pollution和land pollution的原因。学生两人一组讨论生活中还有什么会导致这些污染。讨论结束后,选择两到三组学生汇报讨论结果。
(2)Role-play(分角色表演,深入理解环境保护的相关内容)
Step 1 教师提出问题让学生思考并回答,导入对话语境。

1a:
(1)Show pictures or play videos about pollution and talk about the pollution.
(2)Read these phrases in 1a.Look at the pictures in 1a and say what they see in the pictures.Write down the words and add more words.
(3)Ask students to say out the words they know about each kind of pollution.
1b:
(1)Read the instructions.Get the students to read the contents in the chart and think of what they will fill in the blanks.
(2)Play the recording for the first time.Students listen and fill in the words.
(3)Play the recording a second time.Ask them to check the answers.Then ask the questions.Students answer with full sentences.
(4)Ask more questions to help students learn more details.Then play the recording for the students to role-play the conversation.
