Do you know how to make a parachute by yourself Have you tried to make the parachute stay in the air longer
Recently, our school held a parachute-making competition. That day was Friday. We needed to make a parachute with materials given to us by our teachers. The parachutes we see in our daily lives seem complicated. But I think it's not too difficult to make a simple one after the competition.
First, we cut a plastic bag into a round shape. Next, we held the bag with some threads (线) through the holes. Last, we gathered the threads and tied them into a knot(结).
The most difficult part was to work with others as a team because different members had different ideas. After discussion and research, we agreed that the larger the plastic bag we cut was, the better it would be. We even learned about something that would influence the parachute, like weight, material, surface area and so on.
The rule was to fly our parachutes at a height of 3 meters. The winner would be the one that flew the furthest. Luckily, we won! We stood out from our class to compete against the other 12 teams in the final. I learned how to work in a team and realized that real knowledge comes from practice.

C.Surface area. D.Size.
( )3.What's the main idea of Paragraph 3

B.When to make a parachute.
C.When to have a parachute-making contest.

( )4.Which of the following is TRUE
A.The competition was held on Saturday.
B.There are 13 teams in the competition.
C.It's not hard to work with others as a team.
D.The rule was to fly the parachute at a height of 5 meters.
( )5.What's the best title for the text
A.A difficult program
B.A boring trip
C.A happy meeting
D.A meaningful competition

(羞愧综合征)All of us may have experienced embarrassing moments. 1. Or it might be the time when you talked about someone else without realizing that they were right behind you.
Though these embarrassing moments don't harm us a lot, they come back from time to time. 2. Even if these moments may disappear after some time, we would always remember the strong feelings of embarrassment. 3. When these kinds of feelings return, they are known as a “cringe attack (羞愧综合征)”.
Why do these “cringe attacks” still come to our mind even though the actual events happened weeks, months, or even years ago According to researchers, our brains give special attention to feelings that can be easily noticed. 4. If you have a highly embarrassing or highly emotional (情绪激动的) moment, no matter what it is, your brain will try to catch it.
5. Well, we can start by trying to be more objective (客观的) about our past selves. Consider that you are not alone in your embarrassment — everyone fails or makes silly, embarrassing mistakes. Instead of just trying to forget what we did, we should try to accept who we were at that moment and think about how we can change for the better.
A.So how can we deal with this
B.In fact, these feelings may last for years.
C.Sometimes, they even make us feel upset.
D.People often get into embarrassing situations.
E.The stronger the feeling is, the stronger the memory will be.
F.The bad feeling of embarrassment can make you angry, sad or scared.
G.It could have been the time when you pronounced a simple word wrong in class.
