语言知识：与澳大利亚相关的重点词汇，that引导的定语从句
语言技能：能听懂介绍澳大利亚的短文，获取细节信息。能够用简单的英语介绍澳大利亚。
情感态度：鼓励学生了解世界各地不同的风俗习惯，同时自强民族自豪感。
学情分析
本课的教学对象是经过多年英语学习的九年级学生，有一定的英语基础知识和听说能力，正在逐渐向读写过渡。但学生抽象思维能力较低，形象思维能力强，上课注意力易分散。

能够用简单的英语介绍澳大利亚。

教学流程
Step 1 Warming-up
播放彭丽媛出访澳大利亚时抱考拉的视频。学生观看视频后，向他们提问：Who is the woman in the video? What is a she holding? Can you guess where are they? 学生回答问题，进而引入本课的话题——澳大利亚。
Step 2 Vocabulary preparation
向学生提问: What do you know about Australia?引发学生思考。之后从地理位置、动物、风景名胜等方面展示澳大利亚的图片，引导学生说出一些与澳大利亚有关的词汇和句子，为接下来的学习做词汇上的铺垫。
Step 3 Listen and read
告诉学生我们将听到一段Tony和他的爸爸谈论澳大利亚的对话，爸爸展示了四幅照片。
向学生们展示对话中出现的照片。
要求学生们听对话，给四张照片排序。
在黑板上展示澳大利亚的地图，要求学生们再听录音，找到四张照片在澳大利亚的位置，将照片贴在地图的相应位置上。
在听录音，要求学生找出介绍四张照片的细节。
教师带领学生朗读本课重点语言点。
学生分角色朗读课文。
Step 4 Talking
学生根据课文的内容，小组讨论，分别介绍四张照片的内容。找一部分学生在讲台前进行展示。
Step 5 Summary
对本课内容进行总结，鼓励学生进一步了解世界不同地方的风俗习惯，进而鼓励他们用英语介绍本国文化。
Step 6 Homework
Imagine you are Tony and write a letter back to your parents to introduce Australia.
