一、教学内容分析
青少年是祖国的未来和希望，每个青少年的心目中都有自己崇拜、敬佩的英雄人物，他们的光辉事迹对青少年的影响巨大。本模块以“英雄”为话题，介绍了体育、科技、历史、医疗等领域的英雄人物。通过学习，学生可以了解这些英雄人物不屈不挠、意志坚定、勤奋刻苦的高贵品质。同时也能激发自己争做国家栋梁、为国争光的热情。第一单元通过对著名乒乓球运动员邓亚萍的描述，同学们可以了解到她刻苦努力、锲而不舍的精神品质和永不服输的坚强意志。无论遇到什么样的困难，都不能放弃。通过对话，学习原因状语从句、结果状语从句。

三、学习者特征分析
这个班的学生基础比较差。全班同学，根据平时的考试成绩来看，及格率在75%左右。有部分同学不及格，而且成绩特别低。优秀学生的比率在50%左右。同时这个班级的同学上课特别积极，学习态度普遍端正，学习的积极性较高。在课堂上能够与教师积极配合。因此在学习对话时能较好的配合教师完成教学任务。
四、教学策略选择与设计
由于本课主要讲解英雄人物，因此可以从谈论“Who is your favourite hero”展开本课的话题。或者从“Do you like playing table tennis? Who is the most famous table tennis player in the world?” 入手展开讨论，从而引出本课的题目。然后通过PPT展示一组邓亚萍比赛训练的图片。引入本课：”Who is Deng Yaping” How much do you know about her? Who can introduce her to us?
