一、教学内容分析
青少年是祖国的未来和希望,每个青少年的心目中都有自己崇拜、敬佩的英雄人物,他们的光辉事迹对青少年的影响巨大。本模块以“英雄”为话题,介绍了体育、科技、历史、医疗等领域的英雄人物。通过学习,学生可以了解这些英雄人物不屈不挠、意志坚定、勤奋刻苦的高贵品质。同时也能激发自己争做国家栋梁、为国争光的热情。第一单元通过对著名乒乓球运动员邓亚萍的描述,同学们可以了解到她刻苦努力、锲而不舍的精神品质和永不服输的坚强意志。无论遇到什么样的困难,都不能放弃。通过对话,学习原因状语从句、结果状语从句。

三、学习者特征分析
这个班的学生基础比较差。全班同学,根据平时的考试成绩来看,及格率在75%左右。有部分同学不及格,而且成绩特别低。优秀学生的比率在50%左右。同时这个班级的同学上课特别积极,学习态度普遍端正,学习的积极性较高。在课堂上能够与教师积极配合。因此在学习对话时能较好的配合教师完成教学任务。
四、教学策略选择与设计
由于本课主要讲解英雄人物,因此可以从谈论“Who is your favourite hero”展开本课的话题。或者从“Do you like playing table tennis? Who is the most famous table tennis player in the world?” 入手展开讨论,从而引出本课的题目。然后通过PPT展示一组邓亚萍比赛训练的图片。引入本课:”Who is Deng Yaping” How much do you know about her? Who can introduce her to us?
