Step 1 Review 1. Show students some pictures about subjects. 2. Let some students report the subjects they like and the subjects they don’t like and why. 1. Look at the pictures about subjects. 2. Report the subjects they like and the subjects they don’t like and why. 通过图片等形式抢答所学的科目名词, 并可以谈论自己的喜好及原因。目的是巩固并新学一些科目名词和相关句型, 从而激发学生的学习兴趣。
Step 2 Work on Grammar Focus 1. Read Grammar focus(至少3遍, 理解并熟记what, why, who, when引导的特殊疑问句) 2. 组内探讨, 仔细观察下面例句中疑问词的用法。 (1)—What is your favourite subject —My favourite subject is art. (2)—How old is Mary —She is twelve years old. (3)—How do you spell “watch” —W-A-T-C-H. (4)—How are you — I’m fine, thanks. (5)—When is your geography class —It’s on Monday and Friday. (6)—What time do you get up —I get up at six o’clock. . (7)—Why does she like history/science/art/music —Because it is exciting. (8)—Who is your science teacher —My science teacher is Mr Wang. 3. 出示结论。 1. Read Grammar focus. 2. Talk about the use of the words “what, why, who, when”and remember them carefully. 在语境中呈现和导入目标语言。

Step 3 Work on 3a 1. First, let students talk about 3a. Then ask them to fill in the blanks with what, who or why. 2.
