After saying thanks to the teacher, the father went to the sobbing David. Knowing
why the boy was unhappy, the father tried to hug him. However, the boy pushed him wildly.
“David, I have told you‘we just walk differently’”, said the father. Tom refused to answer and
went on sobbing. What’s worse, the boy couldn’t sleep the whole night, he could even imagine
how his classmates and their parents laughed at his father on the playground. A week passed
quickly, soon came the big day. In the morning, the boy chose to go to school alone.
Unexpectedly, on arriving at the school playground, he saw his father had been there!
David watched as his father was standing on the playground with other parents.
His father seemed to be discussing something with other adults. Several minutes later, some
parents went to play football with the children. Others stayed to prepare juice for the players.
After the game began, the parents and the children competed on the playground wildly and
happily. Meanwhile, David’s father and his partners were busy peeling the fruit, making juice
and filling it into many paper cups. The game was over, most of the players flooding to enjoy
juice. Looking at people’s smiling faces, David understood his father’s words“he just walks
differently”. Noticing David, the father smiled to him, and the boy decided to join him.
