It has been Wu Rongjin's dream to be a positive influence on her students since she started teaching at Luwan No. 1 Central Primary School in Shanghai.
The school, near the Memorial for the Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC)(中共一大会址), has rich historical resources to help its students learn about the history of the CPC.
During a visit to the memorial in 2005, Wu noticed some of the students were not interested in the guide's description. My name is Ben. I am 13, and I live in Chantilly, VA. Just yesterday, June 24, I was at home watching my sister, who is mentally handicapped(弱智的). My father was at work while my mother and younger sister were at my mother's office.

After an earthquake most survivors can be expected to recover over time, particularly with the support of family and friends. Last Saturday, Liu Wei, a senior school student of our school, helped an injured woman. On that day, Liu Wei was on his way to the hall where the English speaking competition took place when a woman fell off her bicycle carelessly. The woman struggled to get to her feet but failed, because her right leg was bleeding badly. Without any hesitation, Liu Wei came to her assistance. He applied pressure to the bleeding area and then tied his handkerchief firmly to the wound. Finally, he took the woman to the hospital nearby.
