祈使句表达说话人向对方提出的的叮嘱、劝告、希望、禁止、建议、请求或命令等。祈使句一般以动词原形开头,无时态和数的变化。
祈使句
常见的祈使句型如下:
1.V型:动词原形+其他。例:Wake me up at six tomorrow morning,please.请在明天早上六点把我叫醒。
2.Let型:Let's do sth. 或 Let sb.do sth.。例:Let me help you do the work.让我来帮助你做这项工作。
3.Be型:Be+形容词。例:Be careful to drive the car. 小心驾驶。
4.No型:No+动词的现在分词形式。例:No parking.禁止停车。
祈使句的否定形式:
(1)一般祈使句的否定形式是在句首加 Don't。
(2)Let 型的祈使句变否定句时,可在句首加 don't,
也可在动词原形前加not或never。
例:Don't let him eat up the food.
不要让他吃光所有事物。
Never lie to me!
绝对不要对我撒谎!
助记口诀
祈使句,祈使句,请求、命令或建议。
主语是you常省去,句首要把don't加。
要讲客气用please,句首句末没关系。
【拓展】在反意疑问句中,陈述句部分是祈使句时,如果祈使句是以 let's开头的,附加疑问句部分用shall we,如果祈使句不是以let's开头的,则附加疑问句部分用will you。
例:Don't let the baby cry,will you?不要让婴儿哭,好吗?Let's go to school on foot,shall we?我们步行去上学,好吗?
can 和 could 表示推测时,意为“会, 可能”,但 can 表示推测时,往往用于否定句和疑问句。用于疑问句时,can 比 could 表示的“可能性”要大;用于否定句时,cannot(can't)表示“不可能”。例:
He can't be the right person!
他不可能是对的那个人!
情态动词can、could、must表示推测
could 可用于肯定句、否定句和疑问句。
以下例句中,can 和 could 均表示可能:
He could be in pain.
他可能很疼。
That could be harmful!
那可能有害!
