Our school has recently held a food culture festival with the goal of offering hands-on opportunities for us students.
During the activity,we invited some local chefs to demonstrate key cooking skills on the spot. Some students were encouraged to help prepare the food while others were happy to learn some basic cooking skills while enjoying delicious food and fun stories behind them.
All the students and faculty accepted the activity well, saying it was both fun and practical. As we all should forget our work and enjoy life for some time, it is hoped that we can hold the activity annually.

参考范文一
The moment I arrived at the school gate, Chloe appeared in exactly the same dress. My heart sank, and I felt a mix of disappointment and anger. I couldn’t believe my misfortune. It seemed like all my hard work and sacrifice had been in vain. The dress that was supposed to make me stand out now made me blend in with Chloe. I rushed back home, tears streaming down my face, feeling defeated and embarrassed.
Hearing me crying loudly, Mum gently pushed open the door. She looked at me sympathetically and said, “Life is full of surprises, my dear. You earned this dress through hard work, and that’s what matters. Your worth is not determined by what others have or wear. Instead, it lies in the effort you put into achieving your goals. Be proud of yourself, and remember, true value goes beyond what's visible.” Her words comforted me, and I realized the true lesson my mother had taught me through the precious dress—self-worth and the importance of hard work.
范文二
The moment I arrived at the school gate, Chloe appeared in exactly the same dress. My heart sank as I stood there in disbelief, realizing that my carefully earned dress was no longer as unique as I thought. The joy I felt was instantly replaced by a sense of disappointment and embarrassment.I realized the effort I put into earning and saving was now overshadowed by the identical dress she effortlessly acquired, and I couldn’t stand it and ran back home.
Hearing me crying loudly, Mum gently pushed open the door. She looked at me with understanding eyes and wrapped her arms around me. “I know it hurts, sweetheart,” she said softly. “But remember, the real value of that dress is not in its uniqueness, but in the effort and determination it took for you to earn it. Don’t let anyone diminish the worth of your hard work and commitment.” In that moment, I realized the true lesson my mother had woven into the fabric of that dress—strength, resilience, and the understanding that true value comes from within.
范文三
The moment I arrived at the school gate, Chloe appeared in exactly the same dress. My heart sank as I stood there in disbelief, realizing that my carefully earned dress was no longer as unique as I thought. The joy I felt was instantly replaced by a sense of disappointment and embarrassment as my classmates stared in surprise. It was a moment of sheer disappointment, I could feel tears welling up in my eyes and I dashed back home as fast as I could.
Hearing me crying loudly, Mum gently pushed open the door. She saw the disappointment on my face. After knowing what had happened, she said with a comforting smile, “Sweetheart, remember the lesson here. True value doesn’t lie in possessions but in the effort, determination, and personal growth that come from earning and achieving something on your own. Your unique qualities can’t be duplicated, even if someone wears the same dress. Cherish your journey and the lessons you’ve learned along the way.” This experience became a lifelong reminder that true worth is found within oneself, going beyond material possessions.
