1) Why don’t you+动词原形+其他成分

2) until + 时间状语,表示“一直到……(时候)”。

连词 until, so that, although
1. until 引导时间状语从句
until:直到……时候(才停止之前的动作),用于肯定句中,主句常用延续性动词;在引导时间状语从句时,如果是否定句中,not…until表示直到……才,主句通常可用瞬时动词,也可用持续性动词。
e.g. I will wait until you get here.
我会一直等到你来这儿。
My friends played basketball until it got dark.
我的朋友们打篮球直到天黑。
Until now I have always lived alone.
直到现在,我一直独自生活。
You’re not going out until you’ve finished this.
你不把这事做完就不准出去。
I didn’t go to bed until my parents came back.

2. so that 引导目的状语从句和结果状语从句
(1) so that 引导目的状语从句,意为“以便”,在口语中,that 可以省略;相当于in order that,意为“为了”,此时从句中多含有can, could 等情态动词。
e.g. Lucy took a taxi so that she could get there earlier.
露西乘了一辆出租车以便能早点到那里。
(2) so that 意为“因此;所以”,引导结果状语从句,陈述的是客观事实,一般不带情态动词。
e.g. Eric studied hard so that he passed the exam.
埃里克学习很努力,所以他通过了考试。
She worked hard so that everything would be ready in time.
她卖力地干着,为的是一切能够及时就序。
3. although 引导让步状语从句
although 引导让步状语从句,意为“虽然,尽管;即使”,可与though 替换,从句位于句首或句末;although 或though 不与but,however 连用,但可与yet, still 连用。
e.g. Although he’s nearly 80, he is still very active.
尽管快80岁了,他还是十分活跃。
Mother is devoted to Dad although they squabble all the time.
妈妈深爱着爸爸,虽然他们总是为琐事争吵。
