借助 how, what, who, why 等引导的疑问句完成故事的叙述
Observe these sentences and summarize grammatical points.
(1) as soon as
① as soon as 引导时间状语从句，意为“一……就……”, 主从句的时态遵循“主将从现”原则。
e.g. I’ll be back as soon as I can.
我会尽快回来。
I’ll call you as soon as I get home.
我一到家就给你打电话。
② 指紧接着发生的两个短动作，主从句都用一般过去时。
引导状语从句的连词 as soon as, unless, so ... that ... 的用法
e.g. He took out his English books as soon as he sat down.
他一坐下就拿出了他的英语书。
【注意】时间状语从句的引导词还有：when, before, after, as, while, since, not ... until, whenever
e.g. As he explored the town, he took a lot of pictures.
当他探索这个城镇时，他拍了很多照片。
He has been in Shanghai since he was born.
自从他出生以来，他一直在上海。
Don’t come in until you are called.
叫你之前别进来。
Whenever I’m feeling down, my friends will cheer me up.

(2) unless
连词unless意为“除非，除非在……情况下；如果不……”，指将来可能发生或可能真实的情况。引导条件状语从句，含有否定意义 。遵循“_________/_________/________”的原则。
e.g. You won’t get paid for time off unless you have a doctor’s note.
除非你有医生证明，否则你不上班便拿不到工资。

【注意】
指将来可能发生或可能真实的情况用unless。如果知道没有发生或不真
实则用if...not：可以说If you weren’t always in such a hurry, your work would be much better.
(3) so ... that ...
so ... that... 引导结果状语从句，意为“如此……以至于……”。
① so+ adj.+that从句
e.g. The box is so heavy that the kid can’t carry it.
这个箱子太重了，这个孩子搬不动。
② so+adj.+a(an)＋单数可数名词＋that从句
e.g. He is so clever a boy that he can work out the problem.
他非常聪明，他能算出这道题来。
③ so+adj.+复数可数名词＋that从句 (形容词是 many/few)
e.g. She had so many friends that she never felt lonely.
她有那么多的朋友以至于从未感觉到孤独。
④ so+adj.＋不可数名词+that从句 (形容词是little/much)
e.g. Linda has so little money that she can’t buy a new car.
琳达的钱很少买不起辆小轿车。
