第一节 (满分 25 分)
One Possible Version:
It has been a week since I arrived in England to attend this exchange program.
I’m really happy to live with Mrs. Smith, a very kind woman. She has a medium build, blonde
hair and blue eyes. She always wears a warm smile, which creates an inviting atmosphere. I feel
comfortable to get along with such a friendly hostess. Besides, she has all kinds of hobbies,
including music and sports.
Though not young, she is filled with energy all the time. Jogging has kept her slim and fit.
What’s more, she shows her great interest in Chinese culture. We often sit together happily, talking
about Chinese cuisines. How lucky I am to live with Mrs. Smith!
第二节(满分 15 分)
One possible version:
In a few minutes, these lovely angels began their work. Beth made a fire with wood she carried,
and papered the broken windows. Mrs. March gave the mother tea, and comforted her with promises
of help, while she dressed the little baby as tenderly as if it had been her own. Meanwhile, Amy
spread the table, set the children round the fire, and fed them like so many hungry birds, laughing
and talking. “You are really angels!” cried the poor kids, as they ate and warmed their purple hands.
Amy and Beth were happy to help their neighbors. When they went away, leaving comfort behind.

Text 1
W: John, our five forty-five train to Yorkville is put off. It is now expected to leave at six fifteen.
M: Then we have to remain in the waiting area until six o’clock.
Text 2
M: What do you think of the used car I bought
1

W: Have you considered getting a paint job
Text 3
M: I’m going down to the coffee shop to get something to eat. Do you want to come
W: You know, Hans, after all the work we did today, I don’t feel like going out. I’ll order from room
service and eat in my room.
Text 4
M: I hear you got a new house. Congratulations!
W: I’m excited about the move, but the place still needs a lot of work.
M: Well, at least your drive to the office is shorter now.
Text 5
W: Good morning! This is Gina Bauer with your local traffic report. Most of the roads in Oaklyn
are pretty clear this morning. However, you can expect a traffic jam near Creek Road later.
M: Thanks Gina. Next, let’s have some music. After the music, Jim Wilson will tell us the weather.
Text 6
M: Hi, honey. Have fun shopping
W: Well, you should thank me — I saved us a lot of money! They were having some great sales.
They had a good deal on T-shirts — buy one, get one free. I got four for only forty dollars. And
they also had socks on sale!
M: But you actually didn’t need to buy any — we have plenty. And where are we going to put all
these things
W: I don’t know, but they were a real bargain.
Text 7
W: I think we’ve got the transport worked out. We have four buses to take people from the hotel to
the meeting center. That should be enough; don’t you think
M: Yes, I think so. It takes five minutes to get on one bus and ten minutes to make the trip, so we
could plan to have one bus leave every fifteen minutes.
W: That sounds like a good schedule. Each bus could make the round trip in thirty minutes, and no
one would have to wait too long for a ride.
M: Then we won’t have to worry about anybody being angry about waiting.
Text 8
M: Gloria, you’re not looking happy. What’s the matter Have you been studying too much
W: No. The problem is that I was planning to go home over spring break, but all the airlines have
been fully booked.
M: Why not go by car
W: It’s too long of a trip to take by myself, and gas is so expensive.
M: Have you checked the ride board Maybe you can get someone to ride with you.
W: The ride board — what’s that
M: It’s a whiteboard that has a map of the United States on it. The map is divided into different
areas, and each area has a different number. Say you want to go to New England — that would
be box number one. There are boxes for each number. You can put a red card or a blue card in
one of the boxes. Blue means you have a car and need riders to share the driving. Red means
that you’re looking for a ride.
W: Thanks. I’ll have a look, thanks.

M: Hello, my daughter is in Melbourne and I want to do a bit of traveling with her in Australia.
W: When do you want to travel
M: On the 20th of July. I want to spend a couple of days in Melbourne at the beginning so I can get
used to the time difference.
W: OK. We have two tours that start from Melbourne. One’s called All Australia. That’s nineteen
days. It goes along the coast to Adelaide, then by train to Alice Springs. Then you fly to Darwin
in the north, and then to Cairns.
M: Is everything included
W: Everything. The hotels, the flights, the trains, and the coaches when you go anywhere by road.
M: And all the meals
W: You can take the full-board choice with all the meals. But if I were you, I’d take half-board. With
half-board, you have the fun of choosing where to have lunch each day.
M: How about the other one
W: Australia’s Best Tour is one week shorter than the first one. You go directly from Melbourne to
Alice Springs.
M: This one sounds better. I’ll have more time in Melbourne.
Text 10
Welcome to this talk about Northfields’ Shopping Center. It’s open next Saturday and I’m
excited to tell you about it tonight. Our opening hours are from 10 am to 6 pm every day except
Thursday. That’s when we have late-night shopping until 8 pm. We’re planning to open late on
Wednesday too, but that won’t happen until we see how popular the center is.
As you can see, there are two floors. On the first floor, there’s a cinema. And opposite that, in
a smaller area, there are lots of places to eat and drink. There are fast-food restaurants as well, if
you don’t have time to sit and eat. All the shops are on the ground floor. The biggest shop is the
supermarket. Then, all the way over to the other side of the building is the second biggest shop —
Green’s department store. Also on the ground floor, there is a great bookstore selling everything
you might need for school. You’ll find it between the men’s and women’s clothes shop and the café.
If you need a mobile phone, that’s in the smallest shop — between the bank and the shoe shop. I
hope you’ll all visit Northfields’ soon!
