cook (可数名词) 厨师
His father is a cook.
他的父亲是一位厨师。
cook（动词） 烹饪，烧，煮
My mother is cooking.
我的妈妈正在做饭。
3.Her dishes were probably the best in the world!
她做的饭菜可能是世界上最好的！
probably (副词) 很可能
表示推测。用在be动词或情态动词之后，实义动词之前。
4.I will never forget the taste,and the smell as well.
我永远不会忘记那口味，还有那香味。
forget (动词) 忘记 反义词remember 记着
forget后接名词，代词、动词不定式或动词-ing形式作宾语。
Don't forget her name.
不要忘记她的名字。
辨析：forget to do sth.忘记要做某事。
动词不定式所表示的动作尚未发生。
forget doing sth. 忘记做过某事。
动词-ing形式所表示的动作已经发生了，主语忘记了
曾经做过这样一个动作。
5.Grandma took care of my family.
奶奶照顾我们一家人。
take care of 照顾，照料。相当于look after
6.She died two years ago and I miss her very much.
两年前她去世了，我非常想念她。
die (不及物动词 )死亡，去世
His grandpa died in 1992.
他的爷爷1992年去世了。
two years ago 两年前
一段时间+ago 表示┈┈前 是一般过去时的标志词语
He went to Guangzhou three days ago.
他三天前去了广州。
Alice is my best friend. 艾丽斯是我最好的朋友。
best （形容词）最好的 good的最高级。
She often tells me jokes to make me laugh ,but she never makes
fun of others. 她经常给我讲笑话逗我笑，但是她从不取笑别人。
tell sb. sth.=tell sth.to sb. 告诉某人某事
I told him my name.=I told my name to him.
我告诉了他我的名字。
make 使，让
主要有以下两种用法：
make sb.do sth. 使某人做某事
My mother made me stay at home yesterday.
昨天我妈妈让我待在家里。
make sb./sth.+形容词 使某人/某物处于┈┈状态
The good news makes me very happy. 这个好消息使我很开心。
make fun of sb. 取笑某人
Don't make fun of me. 不要取笑我。
I hope we will always remain friends.
我希望我们一直都是朋友。
hope（动词） 希望 主要有以下结构：
a.hope+that从句（that通常省略） 希望┈┈
We hope(that)everything goes well.我们希望一切都好。
b.hope to do sth. 希望做某事
I hope to go outside. 我希望去外面。
1.His classes are always full of fun. 他的课总是充满乐趣。
be full of 充满 full （形容词） 满的
The bag is full of rice. 袋子里装满了米。
2.Mr Li is strict about our studies,but he always encourages us and gives us support.
李老师对我们的学习要求严格，但他总是鼓励我们并给我们支持。
strict （形容词） 严格的；严厉的
He is a strict teacher. 他是一位严厉的老师。
be strict about sth. 对某事要求严格
They are strict about their work. 他们对工作要求严格。
be strict with sb. 对某人要求严格
She is strict with her son. 她对儿子要求严格。
encourage （及物动词） 鼓励
encourage sb.to do sth. 鼓励某人做某事
He encouraged me to have a try. 他鼓励我试一试。
3.Never give up and you'll be successful.永不放弃，你们就会成功。
give up 放弃 是“动词+副词”构成的短语，其后可不接宾语，也可接
名词、代词或动词-ing形式作宾语。
不接宾语： Don't give up! 别放弃！
接名词： We can't give up the chance.我们不能放弃这次机会。
接代词： Don't give it up！ 不要放弃它。
接动词-ing: He gave up smoking. 他戒烟了。
