英语中时刻的表达法:
① 表达整点
基数词 + o’clock
直接用基数词
e.g. 6:00
② 顺读法
与汉语的表达顺序相同,先说整点再说分钟。
e.g. 5:20

30分钟以内(含30分钟),用“分钟数 + past + 整点数”。
e.g. 7:25
超过30分钟,用“(60-分钟数)+ to +下一个整点数”。

【拓展】 辨析 when 与 what time
在英语中提问具体时间可用 What time 或 When。
词(组) 用法
When 疑问副词,意为“……时候”,用于提问时间,所表示的时间范围较广。
What time 所表示的时间比较具体准确,指“几点钟;几点几分”。
e.g. — When do you do your homework
你什么时候写作业?
— I want to do it tomorrow.
我想明天做。

— It’s eight past two.

(2) 时间介词 at, in, on 作表达时间的介词时的用法区别:
① at
用在具体的钟点之前。e.g. at 9 o’clock
和 noon, night 搭配。e.g. at night
② in
用在年、月、季节之前。e.g. in winter
和泛指的morning, afternoon, evening 搭配。e.g. in the evening
③ on
表示在具体某天,如星期和日期。
e.g. on May 1st
表示在具体某天的上午、下午或晚上。
e.g. on Friday morning
易错
(1) 如果节日不止一天,而是持续一段时间,介词应用 at。
e.g. at the Spring Festival 在春节期间
(2) 当时间状语中含有 this, these, that, those, last, next, every, each 等词修饰时,其前不用介词。

【易错点】
在汉语中,“因为……,所以……”是一个完整的句式,而在英语中,同一个句子中 because (因为) 和 so (所以) 不能同时使用,只能用其中一个。
e.g. We are good friends, so we help each other.
= Because we are good friends, we help each other.
因为我们是好朋友,所以我们互相帮助。
interesting 意为“有趣的”。常用于形容事物本身具有的性质,主语一般为事或物。
【反】boring 意为“无聊的;令人厌烦的”
interested 意为“感兴趣的”,常用于形容人的感受,主语一般为人。反义词为bored “(人)感到无聊的”
