形容词比较级的规则变化
部分双音节词和多音节词,在该词前面加more构成比较级。
e.g. beautiful→more beautiful careful→more careful
dangerous→more dangerous delicious→more delicious
表语形容词以及由分词变来的形容词,在其前加more构成比较级。
e.g. afraid→more afraid interesting→more interesting
pleased→more pleased exciting→more exciting
形容词的比较级(二)
1. 基本用法
(1)副词主要用来修饰动词、形容词和副词。
e.g. She plays the piano badly. 她钢琴弹得很糟。
(2)副词修饰动词时通常放在行为动词(实义动词)之后。
副词修饰形容词和副词时,一般放在所修饰的形容词、副词之前。
e.g. She is really nice when you get to know her.
当你了解她,就知道她确实很好。
副词的基本用法和比较级
2. 形容词变副词的规则
副词一般由形容词加-ly构成,只有少数是不规则变化。
e.g. careful+ly→carefully busy+ly→busily
safe+ly→safely heavy+ly→heavily
直接在词尾加-er fast-faster
hard-harder
以字母e结尾的词加-r late-later
close-closer
重读闭音节词且词尾只有一个辅音字母时,先双写该辅音字母,再加-er big-bigger
以“辅音字母+y”结尾的双音节词,变“y” 为 “i”,再加-er early-earlier

3. 规则变化(含形容词)
(1)单音节词和少数双音节词
(2)多音节词和部分音节词:在原级前加 more

Culture box: The Olympics
The Olympic Games sarted in Athens with the first summer Olympics in 1896. They take place every four years in different cities around the
world. In 1936 they were in Berlin in Germany, in 1968 they were in Mexico City, and in 2008 they were in Bejing.

The Winter Olympics are always in mountainous places where people can be sure of snow for the skiing and winter events. The first Winter
Olympics were in France in 1924. They have been held in Austria, Switzerland, Norway, the US, Canada and Japan as well as many other places.
The marathon race
The marathon gets its name from a battle over 2,500 years ago between
the Greeks and the Persians. The battle happened at a place called
Marathon. After the Greeks won the battle, a soldier ran over forty kilometres to tell people the good news.
