动词不定式(2)
1. 动词不定式作宾语补足语
动词不定式作宾语补足语,是对宾语的补充说明。
常见的可接动词不定式作宾语补足语的动词有:allow, choose, want, tell, ask, invite, help 等。
注意:
(1) 接不定式作宾语补足语时,若要表达否定的意思,要在 to do 前加 not。
e.g. Mr Han told us not to make too much noise.
韩先生告诉我们不要弄出太大噪音。
(2) 有些动词后接不定式作宾语补足语时,可以省略 to,常见的这类动词有:help, make, let, hear, feel, see 等。
e.g. His words make everyone laugh.
他的话让大家哄堂大笑。
2. 动词不定式作目的状语
如果表示“做某事是为了……”,可以用动词不定式表示目的。
动词不定式作目的状语时既可以放在句首,也可以放在句尾。
e.g. Dylan trained hard to improve his basketball skills.
= To improve his basketball skills, Dylan trained hard.
迪伦刻苦训练以提高自己的篮球技能。

Animals in danger
Many animals around the world are in danger. Here are two examples.
The blue whale lives in oceans around the world. It is the largest animal
in the world, but it feeds on one of the smallest animals. Some people
kill the whales. There may be only about 3,000 blue whales left.

Use your notes and the information you have decided in Activity 10 to make a poster about your club.
You can also design a symbol for your club.
12. Find out about the animals you want to help and add the information to the poster to make it more interesting.
· You can use the information you found for Activity 7 in Unit 1 and Activity6 in Unit 2.
· Remember to add your information to the poster and illustrate the poster with pictures.
