Can you guess what happens The cardboard holds the water in the jar! The air pressure pushing up on the cardboard is higher than that of the water pushing down from inside the jar. The higher air pressure outside the jar holds the cardboard in place. ④

suggest 作及物动词,意为“建议、暗示”,后加名词、代词、动名词作宾语;
也可用在句式suggest somebody to do something 中,表示“建议某人做某事”。
e.g. ①They suggested building a new school. 他们建议建一所新学校。
②I suggest you to do like me. 我建议你想我一样这么做。
③His report suggested the huge loss. 他的报告暗示了巨大的损失。
suggestion 是它的名词形式,意为“建议”,作可数名词,复数形式是suggestions。
e.g. They gave some useful suggestions at the meeting.

full of water用在名词jar之后作定语,不定式、介词短语、副词和定语从句都可用在名词后作定语。

e.g. This is an important discovery. We should pay more attention to it.
