1. Introduce the verb phrases of the spring festival by answering “What are they doing for the Spring Festival ”.
2. Ask the students to read the phrases.
3. Ask the students to talk with each other
A: Look, they are getting ready for Spring Festival.
B: Are they V-ing ... / Is she/he V-ing ...
A: Yes, they are./ No, they aren't.
Yes, she/he is. / No, she/he isn't.
Match(匹配) the pictures with the expressions. (P60, Act1)
Step 2 Listening material 1.
Listen and number : Ask the students to listen and number the pictures.

Listen and answer
