后面可以接动词不定式。
e.g. He is very angry to find that nothing has been done.
他发现什么都没被做，很生气。
angry的副词是angrily。
e.g. She left the room angrily. 她生气地离开了房间。
angry常构成的结构：
结构
be angry with sb. 生某人的气 He was angry with his wife. 他生他妻子的气。
be angry at/about sth./doing sth. 因(做)某事生气 She was angry about/at missing the first bus yesterday. 她因昨天错过头班公共汽车而生气。
be angry with sb. for sth./doing sth. 因某人(做)某事而生气 I'm angry with you for your conduct. 因为你的行为，我生你的气。

be ready to do something 意为“准备好做某事”，与prepare to do something 同义。
e.g. We are ready to hold our sports meeting. 我们准备好开运动会了。
句式be ready for与prepare for同义，表示“为……做好准备”，后加名词或代词作介词宾语。
e.g. Are you ready for the meeting 你们为会议做好准备了吗？

thanks for 因……而感谢强调感谢的原因。thanks 相当于thank you，for 后可接名词或动名词。 Thanks for inviting us to your birthday party. 谢谢你邀请我们参加你的生日聚会。
多亏，由于 强调感谢的对象。thanks to 后接名词、代词或动名词，相当于because of。 Thanks to (Because of) the teacher’s help, the problem has been solved. 多亏老师的帮助，问题已经解决了。
thanks 不可以改为 thank you， to 为介词， 后不接动词原形。 Thanks to the English language, we can learn a lot from other countries.多亏英语这门语言，我们能从其他国家学到很多东西。

rather than：而不是；(宁可……)也不愿……
