honour n. 光荣,荣誉,荣幸 v. 尊重,给予表扬( 头衔、称号等)
honour作名词时,常用的词组为 in honour of...“为向……表示敬意”。
e.g. There will be a party in honour of the hero.
为欢迎这位英雄将有个聚会。
honour作动词时,常用的短语为be honoured with... “被授予……”。
e.g. He was honoured with a knighthood for his scientific work.
他因科研成就被授予爵士头衔。
Language points

如果后者的情况也适用于前者可用句式:so + 助动词、系词、情态动词 + 主语;如果前面的陈述句是否定形式,则用neither 或nor 替代so。
e.g. She has finished her homework and so have I.
她已经完成作业了,我也完成了。

valuable在句中可用作定语,也可用作表语,用作表语时,可与介词to或for 连用,to 后接人,for 后接目的。
valuable 的名词形式是value,意为“价值”。常用短语: of great value 很有价值的
e.g. His advice is of great value to me.
他的建议对我很有价值。
valuable adj. 宝贵的

achieve v.完成,实现,达到
achieve是及物动词,后加宾语。 If you work hard,you will achieve your dream.
如果你努力工作,你就会实现你的梦想。
come true是不及物动词短语,后不加宾语。 If you work hard,your dream will come true.
如果你努力工作,你的梦想就会实现。
辨析achieve与come true

Language points:
1.All of you have some great memories of this period of your life, and so do I. 你们所有人都会有生活中这个阶段的美好记忆,我也是。
如果后者的情况也适用于前者可用句式:
so + 助V./系V./情态V. + 主语,表示···也是;
如果前面的陈述句是否定形式,则用neither /nor + 助V./系V./情态V. + 主语,表示···也不是。
Eg.她已经完成了她的家庭作业,我也是。
如果你不去那里,我也不去。
2. No matter how high you rise, there be times when you fall down. 无论你上升得有多高,你也有下降的时候。
no matter 意为“无论;不论”,与疑问词连用引导让步状语从句,如 no matter who (无论谁) ,
no matter what (无论什么),
no matter which (无论哪一个),
no matter how (无论怎样),
no matter where (无论在哪里)等
“no matter +疑问词”结构可以与“疑问词-ever”引导的让步状语从句进行同义句转换。
Eg. Whoever / No matter who you are, you must
obey the law here.
无论你是谁,你一定要遵守这儿的法律。
Keep calm, whatever / no matter what happens.
无论发生什么,都保持安静。
No matter where / Wherever you are, please remember what I said to you.
无论你在哪里,请记住我对你说过的话。
