知识梳理

【点拨】
例如:
—What does Cathy look like 卡西长得什么样
—She's tall, and she has black hair. 她个子高,一头黑发。
—What's Ruth like 鲁思是个什么样的人
—She's quiet and a little shy. 她很文静,有点害羞。
2. Americans usually shake hands with each other when they first meet. 当美国人第一次见面的时候,他们通常互相握手。
shake hands表示“握手”,如表示“与某人握手”,用shake hands with sb.
例如:
Oh, Mr Black didn't shake hands with Mrs Brown. 哦,布莱克先生没有和布朗夫人握手。
【拓展】shake hands也表示抽象意义,意为“赞成;和好”。
3.It's much hotter and bigger than a lantern.它比灯笼热得多也大得多。
【点拨】“much+形容词/副词的比较级”意为“……得多”。
例如:
I'm much taller than you. 我比你高得多。
【拓展】常见的用于修饰比较级的词有much, even, a little, a bit等。
例如:
The shoes are a little bigger for me. 这双鞋子对我来说有点大。
4.系动词
【用法展示】系动词本身有一定的词义,但不能独立作谓语,需要在它的后面加上表语一起构成“系表结构”。表语通常由名词、形容词或相当于名词或形容词的词或短语等充当,说明主语是什么或怎么样。
我们常见的系动词有:一是一觉一保持,起来五个,变了三个,即:一是(be),一觉(feel感觉),一保持(keep),起来五个(look看起来,smell闻起来,taste尝起来,sound听起来,seem看起来像),变(get, turn, become)了三个。
许多除be以外的系动词,既可以用作系动词,又可以用作实义动词,我们应该要特别注意。例如:
She looked tired, but she soon felt better. 她看起来很累,但是不久她感觉好多了。
【点拨】第一句中的look和feel很明显都是系动词,而第二句中的look却为实义动词。
【结构分析】
1.系动词+形容词:He always seems very quiet, but sometimes he makes trouble. 他似乎总是很安静,但有时也会惹麻烦。
2.系动词+名词:He seems a good teacher. 他看起来是个好老师。
3.系动词+不定式:He seems to have been to Beijing. 看起来他去过北京。
4.系动词+介词/介词短语:He looks in good health. 他看来十分健康。
感官动词的用法

感官动词的用法
1.see, hear, listen to, watch, notice等词,后接宾语,再接省略to的动词不定式或ing形式。前者表全过程,后者表正在进行。句中有频率词时,以上的词也常跟动词原形。
注释:省略to的动词不定式--to do是动词不定式,省略了to,剩下do,其形式和动词原形是一样的,但说法不同。
see sb. do sth. 看到某人做了某事 see sb. doing sth. 看到某人在做某事
hear sb. do sth. 听到某人做了某事 hear sb. doing sth. 听到某人在做某事
(了解)若以上词用于被动语态,须将省略的to还原:
see sb. do sth.----sb. be seen to do sth. hear sb. do sth.----sb. be seen to do sth.以此类推...
2.感官动词look, sound, smell, taste, feel可当系动词,后接形容词。
注意:如果加介词like构成词组,则后不可接形容词,而接名词或代词。
sound like 听起来像... look like 看起来像...
3.如何判断look是实义动词还是感官动词
当look理解为"看起来"时,是感官动词,后接形容词.
The naughty boys broke the window.The teacher looked angry.
当look理解为"看"或者与其它词构成词组时,是实义动词,需要用副词修饰.
The teacher looked angrily at the naughty boys.
通过以上的活动可知,感官动词用法有:
1.see, hear, listen to, watch, notice等词,后接____。
2.感官动词look, sound, smell, taste, feel可当系动词,后接______。
3.当look理解为"看起来"时,是感官动词,后接______。
