一、教材分析
本单元是五年级下册的第一单元,话题为“winter holidays”。Lesson 3 Everyone was happy that day. 本课时为语篇教学, 承接上学期第七单元的春节话题。Let's read. 具体内容为 Jenny 和 Danny 来到 Li Ming 老家过元宵节, 体验乡村元宵节民俗活动。主要功能是利用中国传统节日的特色活动复习一般过去时的表达, 谈论在乡村体验到的民俗文化。Let's discuss. 围绕三个问题引导学生在讨论中深入理解文本, 进面了解元宵节的习俗, Let's write. 以日记形式对文本内容初步整合, 检测文本输出。
二、教学目标
1. 学生能听、说、认读单词、短语: lantern, visit, very, parade, act, like, evening, riddle, prize, the Lantern Festival; 能听懂, 会说、认读、拼写单词 like。
2. 学生能听、说、认读一-般过去时的特殊疑问句和一般疑问句及回答:
“What did Li Ming do at the Lantern Festival "
"He visited his grandparents with Jenny and Danny. ”
"Did they have a good time ”
“Yes, they did. ”。
3. 学生能理解并运用句型
"What did Li Ming do at the Lantern Festival "
"He visited his grandparents with Jenny and Danny, "
"Did they have a good time "
"Yes, they did. ", 能用一般过去时介绍, 询问、回答别人曾做过的事。
4. 渗透传统节日习俗, 让学生了解并且热爱中国的传统文化。
三、教学重难点
教学重点:是动词过去式的变化形式及词组的运用。
教学难点:是运用一般过去时谈论、交流、介绍元宵节的风俗习惯。
四、教学过程:
Step1.Warming -up
Hello, boys and girls! Are you ready You can say: Yes, ready!

I say “is”, you say “was”...
Step2: pre-reading
1. Children, Here’s a riddle for you, listen carefully! It’s like a ball; it’s small....so what’s this?Can you guess
Yes, Yuanxiao, Do you like Yuanxiao ...I like it, too. It’s very nice.
2. But when do we usually eat yuanxiao (think about),can you try Yes, the Lantern Festival.学习 lan-tern: look,can you read this part: lan tern(加手势拆分教----the Lantern Festival(并介绍: It ’ s our traditional culture.

2.Read the context and circle key words. Class ,got it Which one
In the morning,they had Yuanxiao for breakfast.(板书:had ...)

2.细读。Then they watched a parade. (板书,并学习 parade)

Now read pic2-pic3 carefully, and underline key words, finish the chart. (3 minute for you) Time’s up. Got it?
What did Jenny do ( you can say key words) Yes, learned Yangge dance (板书). Jenny learned... from grandma. It was fun.(拓展知识)Can you dance the Yangge Wow, big hands for her. What about Danny? 课后反思
在小学高段英语教学中,阅读一直占据着相当重要的地位。阅读不仅能帮助学生获取信息、开阔视野、丰富语言文化知识,还能促进学生听说读写技能的发展:而且,阅读在培养学生的思维能力、分析能力和理解能力等方面有着不可替代的作用。基于高年级学生特点,本课重点培养学生自主阅读能力,以学生的自主阅读活动为主,教师的讲解为辅,教师对阅读难点进行讲解。执教完本节课后,笔者对怎样进行英语阅读教学有了更多的理解和想法,认为自己收获不少,但对于教学过程中遇到的一些问题仍有疑惑。
1.采用多种方式激发学生阅读的兴趣在拟定教学设计之初,笔者就努力把兴趣作为设计的第一要求。在阅读前环节中我利用 I say, you say,课前热身活动,活跃了课堂气氛,激发学生的初步兴趣,并复习了过去式。通过学生欣赏 Yangge等视频,既使学生理解了 parade一词的意义,也提高了学生的学习兴趣。请学生扮演 Monkey King既帮助学生理解词义也提高了学生的兴趣。
2.突出对学生英语思维能力的培养英语课程承担着培养学生基本英语素养和发展学生思维能力的任务,最终用所学的语言做事情。在本节课的实施过程中,我从阅读前通过吃汤圆、猜节日这一环节入手,活跃了思维,激活了旧知。导入课题 Everyone was happy that day.
3.通过多种方式培养学生良好的学习习惯本节课中,我十分注重对学生良好学生习惯的培养,在教学环节中有意识的训练学生有目的地读,自信地说,有条理地写。例如,在学生正式接触文本之前,我设计了学生看到题目想知道什么文本内容的环节,培养其预测的习惯。阅读后为了让学生有条理、有层次的写出自己的元宵节,设计了思维导图帮助学生理清文本结构,关注书写的条理性。虽然在努力培养学生的思维习惯,培养学生的阅读策略,但仍有些不尽人意之处,我将继续思考,不断改进。
