The Spring Festival, which falls on the first day of the lunar year, is one of the most important festivals in China and a time for family togetherness.
People celebrate the Spring Festival in varous ways like setting off fireworks, pasting Spring Couplets and the Chinese character “fu”. People usually have a grand family dinner on New Year's Eve and stay up the whole night. Children may get Lucky Money from the elderly.
The celebration of the Spring Festival dates back to thousands of years ago. Celebrating it in traditional ways can fill us with pride in being Chinese.
