第1课时 Section A (1a-2d)
【教学目标】
1.要求学生用已学过的词用英语描述周围的环境污染。
2.通过听力训练获取有效信息,编造对话。
【教学重难点】
重点:掌握单词和短语litter,bottom,fisherman,be full of,close down,play a part in,clean up等。
难点:现在进行时及used to结构的用法。

1.预习课本P97-98新单词并背诵,完成下面的汉译英。

Step 1 情景导入(2分钟)

Step 2 完成教材1a-1c的教学任务
1.要求学生仔细看1a的图片,并完成相应练习。(2分钟)
2.请2-3名同学展示自己的答案,老师可做适当的补充并总结。(3分钟)
3.听录音,完成1b的练习,让学生模仿1c方框中的对话,自己用1a中的信息编写对话,并请2-3组同学当堂展示。

Step 3 完成教材2a-2d的教学任务
1.要求学生翻开课本,播放第一遍录音,完成2a、2b的听力任务。(1分钟)
2.要求学生听第二遍录音,并逐句进行跟读。(2分钟)
3.听力内容巩固训练。要求学生根据所听到的内容完成下列各句。完成后要求若干学生给出自己的答案,以巩固对听力内容的理解。(4分钟)

4.大声朗读听力材料。(1分钟)
5.播放听力材料,要求学生模仿听力内容,利用2a、2b的信息谈论空气污染情况。然后邀请2-3名同学当堂演示。看谁的表现最佳。(5分钟)
6.两人一组练习2d的对话,并让2-3组同学当堂表演。
7.教师根据学生的理解对其重难点进行解析。

Step 4 问题探究(10分钟)
1.辨析instead,instead of与rather than
(1)instead作副词,意为“代替;而不是”,常位于句首或句末。
(2)instead of和rather than都可以意为“而不是”,常位于句中,两者都可接名词、代词等作宾语。若后接动词时,instead of后接v.-ing,rather than后常接动词原形。
小结训练。
(1)If you're busy,you may come another day instead.
(2)He would play computer games rather__than__do his homework.
(3)You should try your best to finish it instead__of__giving up.
2.辨析cost,spend,take与pay
(1)cost的主语只能是物或事,而不能是人,常用于sth.cost(s)(sb.)some money结构中。
(2)take主要指花时间,常用结构为“It takes sb.some time to do sth.”,it作形式主语,真正的主语是后面的动词不定式。take的主语也可以是某种活动,其后接宾语或双宾语。
(3)spend的主语必须是人,常用于“spend time/money on sth.或spend time/money (in) doing sth.”结构中,其中in可省略。spend没有spend…to do结构。
(4)pay的主语是人,通常用于“pay some money for sth.为……而付款”结构,pay还可以跟双宾语。

Step 2 完成教材3a-3b的教学任务
1.要求学生快速默读3a短文,熟知大意,并完成课本3a的任务。然后邀请几位同学给出自己的答案,全班一起检查讨论。(3分钟)
2.先邀请几位同学朗读3a短文,教师要注意学生的语音,及时纠正错误。然后播放录音,全班同学一起跟读。(3分钟)
3.再读短文,完成3b的任务,教师引导复习so,although,if,but,when等连词的用法。
4.短文内容巩固练习。教师将短文中重点短语及单词空出,让学生不看书补充完成。

Step 2 完成教材1a-1e的教学任务
1.要求学生翻开课本,迅速阅读1a的内容。并按要求完成课本上相应的任务。然后要求5-8名同学给出自己的答案,教师可以与学生一起讨论答案。(3分钟)
2.完成1b的任务。阐述他们的观点并依照1b的对话形式编写对话。老师请2-3组同学朗读他们的对话。(3分钟)
3.听第一遍录音,完成课本上1c的任务。(2分钟)
4.听第二遍录音,完成课本上1d的任务。(2分钟)
5.让学生利用1c方框中的信息模仿1e方框中的对话练习编写对话。并请3-4组同学展示他们的对话。(5分钟)

1.辨析stop to do sth.与stop doing sth.
(1)stop to do sth.指停下前一件事,去做另一件事
eg:You're too tired.You should stop to have a rest.(意为停止手头工作,然后休息一会)
(2)stop doing sth.指停止手头上正做的事
eg:You should stop throwing litter into the river.(意为停止向河里扔垃圾)
2.句型“It's+adj.+for sb.to do sth.”意为“对某人来说做某事……”;句型“It's+adj.+of sb.to do sth.”意为“某人做某事……”。两种句型中,it为形式主语,真正的主语为to do sth.。
【注意】在此句型中,中间是用介词of还是用介词for,取决于形容词。当形容词修饰sb.时,应用介词of;当形容词修饰to do sth.时,用介词for。
eg:It's very kind of you to say so.你这样说真是太好了。
It's a little difficult for students to learn English.学习英语对于学生来说有点儿难。

build…out of意为“用……建造”,out of后常接表示原材料的内容。make也可以与(out)of连用。
