Step 1 Warming up
1. Where can people usually find their lost things
2. Look at the pictures. Match the words from the box with the pictures.

3. Read the words after the teacher.
4. Introduce the new words.
Step 2 Listening practice
1. Ask the students to read through the questions in Activity 2.
1) Is the football Tony’s
2) Are the crayons Betty’s
3) Whose gloves are these
2. Ask the students to listen to the recording carefully.
3. Play the recording again, then they can check their answer with a partner.
4. Call back the answer from the whole class and check the answer.
5. Listen again and role-play the conversation.
Betty: Is this your football, Tony
Tony: Oh, yes. Thank you. And that’s my sweater. Are these your crayons, Betty
Betty: No, they aren’t.
Tony: Whose crayons are they
Betty: I think they’re Lingling’s. but these gloves are mine.

Step 3 Listen and read.

lose v. 失去 (后面既可以跟失去的事物,也可以跟输掉的比赛等。)

这是谁的包?
whose pron. 谁的。是表示所有关系的疑问词。
可用来对名词所有格或形容词性物主代词进行提问。如:
This is Tina’s/her hat. →Whose hat is this
可以用来对名词性物主代词进行提问。如:
These pencils are mine. →Whose are these pencils
【语境应用】翻译句子。
1) 那些是谁的蜡笔?

4. Here’s a purple wallet! 这有个紫色的钱包!
以here开头的倒装句,句子真正的主语是a purple wallet。
Here is / are ...是固定句式,表示“……在这儿”,用于刚找到某人或某物时;be动词的单复数形式要与后面主语的单复数形式保持一致。
e.g. Here are three watches.

【语境应用】完成句子。

watch v. 看,观看。常与电视、电影、比赛等词语搭配使用,如:watch TV / a film / a football match。
也可指全神贯注地看、观察,动作持续一段时间。
n. 表;手表。可数名词。

【语境应用】完成句子。

Betty’s贝蒂的,是名词的所有格形式,由“名词+s”构成,表示所属关系。
【拓展】
以“s”结尾的复数名词的所有格只在s后加 “ ’ ”。e.g. Teachers’ Day
表示两者共有时,只将最后一个名词变为所有格形式。
e.g. Tom and John’s mother
表示两者分别拥有时,两个名词都要变为所有格形式。
e.g. Lucy’s and Mike’s fathers
