3. Do they greet people with a kiss 他们用亲吻这种方式打招呼吗?
British people only greet relatives or close friends with a kiss.
英国人只亲戚或密友以亲吻的方式问候
(1)greet vt. 问候,打招呼。greet sb. with…以……方式跟人打招呼;
greet sb with a kiss= kiss sb as a greeting用亲吻的方式跟某人打招呼
She greeted us with a smile. =She smiled to us as a greeting.
她以微笑的方式向我们打招呼。

7. If you’re in the way, they won’t touch you or push past you.

8. They’ll say “excuse me” and ...to wait till you move.
他们会说“劳驾” ……等到你移开。
till conj. 到……时, 直到……为止。同义词为until。
(1)用于肯定句时,主句谓语为延续性动词,表示动作或状态持续到till
或until 所表示的时间为止。
He waited for me until/till our school was over yesterday.
昨天他一直等我到我们放学。
(2) 用于否定句时,主句谓语为非延续性动词,表示动作直到till或until所
表示的时间才发生。not…until意为“直到……才”。
We can’t leave until we finish the work. 我们直到工作完成才可以离开。

The shop is open till 9 o’clock.这家商店营业到9点。
He didn’t sleep till midnight.直到半夜他才睡觉。

辨析:as well, also, too与either
as welll 用于肯定句句末 多用于口语,其前无逗号
also 用于肯定句句中 用于实义动词前,助动词、情态动词或连系动词之后,不可用于句末。
too 用于肯定句句末 其前可有逗号也可无逗号
either 用于否定句句末 其前可有逗号也可无逗号
He can sing as well.=He can also sing.=He can sing,too.他也会唱歌。
He can’t sing, either.他也不会唱歌。
10. British people don't like to shout or laugh loudly.
英国人不喜欢大声地叫或笑。
loudly adv.大声地。给人以吵闹、不悦耳的感觉,含有贬义。

(6) keep sb. from doing sth. (=stop/prevent sb from doing sth.)阻止某人做某事
The heavy rain kept us from going there.大雨阻止了我们去那里。

(1)as conj. 正如,如同。其后接从句。
