Our event is called Ball Toss. We need a small box，some tapes and ten tennis balls. First，we tape the small box on the floor. Then stand three metres away. Try to throw ten tennis balls into the box. In one minute，the one who throws the most into the box is the winner.

(1)rope n．绳。
例：We need a long rope to tie the dog.
我们需要一根长绳来拴住这条狗。
(2)sit -up n．仰卧起坐。它为可数名词，其复数形式为sit -ups。

　 result n．结果；成绩。常用短语：the result of ……的结果；as a result of作为……的结果，由于；as a result结果。
例：One result of the accident is that three students were injured.

她由于受重伤而死亡。

4.None of us could catch him！我们当中没有人能赶上他！
none pron. 没有一个。它表示在三个或三个以上的范围中 “没有一个”。固定搭配：none of…在……中没有一个。
None of us has been abroad. 我们中没有一个人去过国外。
5.He came in twentieth.他是第二十名。
　　twentieth num.第二十。它是twenty的序数词。在英语中，20～90之间整十的序数词由对应的基数词变末尾的y为ie，再加 th构成。如：thirty→thirtieth第三十；fifty→fiftieth第五十；sixty→sixtieth第六十。
