dream可作名词,意为“梦;梦想”。常用于realize one’s dream“实现某人的梦想”。也可作动词,意为“做梦;梦想”,dream的过去式、过去分词为dreamed/dreamt。
“Goodnight. Sweet dreams.” “晚安。好梦。”
Lucy finally realized her dream.露西终于实现了她的梦想。
I dreamed a sweet dream. I dreamed of being a hero.
我做了一个甜美的梦。我梦到我成了一个英雄。
I dreamt about my grandma last night. 我昨晚梦见我奶奶了。
3. She asked people if they could help her grandma see the world through pictures.她问人们能否以照片的形式帮她奶奶看看世界。
if 连词,意为“是否”。此时if引导宾语从句, 从句可以根据实际情况采用任何时态。if有时可与whether互换。
She asked me if/whether I could come there tomorrow.
她问我是否明天能来。
【拓展】if 作连词,还可意为“如果”,引导条件状语从句。时态遵循“主将从现”的原则,即主句是一般将来时,从句用一般现在时表将来。
If it doesn't rain tomorrow, I’ll go to the zoo.

4. Neither Jane nor her grandma would ever forget that day.简和她的奶奶将永远不会忘记那一天。
“would+动词原形”此处构成过去将来时,表示从过去某时间看将要发生的动作或存在的状态,常用于宾语从句中。
