设计说明 首先通过观看纽约的图片引入旅游胜地的话题，再结合纽约的视频导入新课。通过略读、速读、细读等不同活动的设置，让学生由浅入深对《八小时环游世界——纽约城》这篇文章有更好的理解，同时处理一些书后的练习，检查学生的掌握情况。通过对文章中出现的一些重要知识点的讲解，为学生扫除语言上的障碍。最后，围绕这些知识点展开一系列的练习进行巩固。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学，让学生达成以下目标： 1.知识目标 掌握词汇：guide, Asia, Africa, Europe, America, world-famous, trade, southern, international, huge, island, several, relax, hard, bottom, pick, play, website 2.能力目标 (1)通过阅读了解纽约市的几个著名景点； (2)能够掌握一些阅读文章的技巧，如根据上下文猜测单词的意思等。 3.情感目标 鼓励学生通过网络来获取信息，激发学生了解世界的热情。 重点难点 1.重点：通过阅读了解纽约市的几个著名景点。 2.难点：根据上下文猜测单词的意思。 教学准备 PPT 课件；有关纽约的图片。 授课时数 2课时 教学过程 Step 1　Lead-in 1. Show some pictures of New York and ask: Do you like travelling Do you know these places 2. Show a video about New York for students to watch. Step 2　Pre-reading 1. Listen and answer.
