Task

It’s an island country. What is the UK made up of Answer: It is made up of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. London is the capital of the UK. The rulers of the UK: Kings and queens. The Lake District You can enjoy natural beauty, see swans and other wild birds in Lake District. currency: pounds, not RMB or dollars Step 2 Presentation 1. How to write an introduction（介绍） to a country We can use charts to organize our ideas when we write. 2. We can use the following chart to show people what the website “Around the World in Eight Hours” is about. Tips: When we make charts, we do not need to use complete sentences. Step 3 Analysis 1. Amy wants to introduce the UK to her friends. She collected some information on the Internet and made a chart. Show the chart in Part A at Page 46. 2. Amy has written an introduction to the UK.
