类似的短语有：long long ago ,a long time ago等。

(1) decide作动词，意为“决定”，主要用法如下：
①其后接名词或代词。
I can’t decide the date of the meeting.
我决定不了这次会议的日期。
②其后接动词不定式或“疑问词＋动词不定式”。
decide (not) to do sth.决定(不)做某事。
He decided to buy a car. 他决定买一辆汽车。
We can’t decide when to start.
我们无法决定何时动身。

alone在此句中作副词，意为“单独；独自地”，在句中作状语，
相当于by oneself。还可作形容词，意为“单独的”，只能作表语，
形容独自一人的状态，不含感彩。
【链接】lonely只能作形容词，既可作表语，也可作定语。修饰人时
意为“孤独的，寂寞的”；修饰地方时意为“偏远的；荒凉的” 。

(2) little在此处用作形容词，意为“小的”，多用作定语，修饰名词。

(3) hurry在此处用作动词，意为“匆忙，仓促”，主要用法如下：
①“hurry＋副词/介词短语”意为“匆忙去……”，hurry习惯上不与
go、come、move 等动词搭配使用。
He hurried home.他匆忙回家。
②hurry up赶快。用于肯定句中，在否定句中通常不用up。
He told us to hurry (up)．他叫我们赶快。
