Try to retell the passage.
1. People often lose things when they’re travelling or when they’re in a hurry. 人们在旅行中或是匆匆忙忙时经常丢失东西。
in a hurry 匆匆忙忙，hurry用作名词。
She went to the school in a hurry. 她匆匆忙忙地去学校了。
Don’t be in a hurry. 不要着急。
【拓展】hurry还可用作动词，意为“匆忙，赶快”。hurry up意为“快点儿，赶紧”。
Hurry up, the taxi is waiting.快点儿，出租车等着呢。
2. They leave things on planes, on trains, on buses and taxis. 他们把东西落在飞机、火车、公交车和出租车上。
leave 这里表示“落下，遗忘”，表示“把某物落在/忘在某地” 用 “leave sth.＋表地点的介词短语”。
He often leaves his keys at home. 他经常把钥匙忘在家里。
【拓展】leave的其他含义
①表示“离开”
My uncle will leave Jinian for Beijing.我叔叔将离开济南去往北京。
②表示“毕业”
Nancy wants to be a doctor when she leaves school. 南希毕业后想当一名医生。
③表示“留到，留待”
Leave it another week, then tell he’ll have to decide. 把此事再放一周，到时告诉他必须做出决定。
④名词，表示“假期，休假”
I have to ask for three day’s leave.我得请三天假。
3．That’s why there are lost and found offices at airports and stations.　
那就是为什么在机场和车站都有失物招领处。
That’s why... 意为 “那就是因为……”。此处why引导表语从句，why
后面接的是结果。
That‘s why they are so happy. 那是因为他们如此 高兴。

that’s because 后接某事发生的原因。
I was late for the meeting. That's because there was too much traffic.
我开会迟到了,因为交通拥挤。
4. Hundreds of people come here every day. 每天都有许多人到这里来。
hundred 是一个确数，表示“一百”； hundreds of 是一个概数，表示“好几百，许许多多”。当 hundred 前面有一个具体的数词时，hundred 后不加s，也不与of连用；当表示概数时，hundred后加s,且与of连用。
