设计说明
利用英文诗歌引入新课,激发学生学习的好奇心,从而调动学生学习英语的主动性和积极性。在听力训练过程中,听前扫除障碍,减少听的难度,增强学生的自信心,有利于更好地掌握听的技巧及听力的内容;在听后,让学生总结本课时重点句型What’s wrong 和What should I do 以及运用情态动词should,could和Why don’t you... 句型,根据对方所提出的问题,给出一些合理的建议。运用本课时所学习的重点短语,及时进行操练,让学生做到熟练掌握、熟练运用。在师生交流中,培养学生良好的合作意识,鼓励学生大胆表达自己的想法和意愿。正确认识生活中的一些困难,能采用正确的方式解决生活中遇到的问题。
教学目标
1. 知识目标
(1)掌握单词和短语:allow,wrong,guess,deal;look through,big deal,work out。
(2)掌握句型:①Why don’t you go to sleep earlier this evening ②—What’s wrong
—I’m really tired because I studied until really late last night , so I didn’t get enough sleep.
③—What should I do —Well,I guess you could tell her to say sorry.
(3)掌握语法:①能够运用所学知识谈论问题和困 难、提出建议并做出选择。②运用情态动词should或could,以及Why don’t you... 句型,根据对方所提出的问题,给出一些合理的建议。

Step 1 Warming up & Leading in
1. Share a poem called Life with students. The teacher reads it and then asks students to find out the adjectives to describe what life is. In this way,the teacher can tell students life has two sides. It is not always beautiful.

Life is mostly cheerful(欢乐的),
But sometimes sad.

Life can be dirty(丑陋的),

2. The teacher asks students why life is sometimes bad or sad. Then give students the sentence structure“Life is full of . ”Students can talk about their ideas freely. In the end,the teacher concludes that life is full of problems.

He should talk to him so that he can say he’s sorry but it’s not easy. He could go to his house but he doesn’t want to surprise him. He could take him to the ball game,but he doesn’t want to wait that long.
(5)Listen and repeat.
Step 7 Pair work
Work on 2c.
1. Let one pair read out their conversation first.
2. Make a conversation using the information in 2a and 2b.
(Give them enough time to prepare for it. )
3. Act the conversation in pairs. Ask some pairs to act out their conversations.
Step 8 Role-play
1. Read the conversation in 2d and try to understand the meaning. Answer the following questions:
(1)What’s wrong with Kim
She found her sister looking through her things yesterday. She took some of her new magazines and CDs.
(2)What does Dave say to her
Dave says to her,“I guess you could tell her to say sorry. But why don’t you forget about it so that you can be friends again Although she’s wrong,it’s not a big deal. ”
2. Read the conversation after the tape.
3. Complete the passage according to 2d.
Kim looked sad because she found her sister looking through her things yesterday. She took some of her new magazines and CDs. Although she gave them back to her,she was still angry with her. Dave guessed she could tell her to say sorry. But why not forget about it so that they can be friends again Although she’s wrong,it’s not a big deal. Kim agreed with him.
4. Practice the conversation. Then let some pairs act out the conversation.
Step 9 Cooperative inquiry
Discuss the following language points in groups and fill in the blanks.
1. allow v. 允许,准许,allow sb. to do sth. 允许某人做某事。
我父母不允许我熬夜。
My parents don’t allow me to stay up late.
史密斯先生允许迈克开车去那。
Mr. Smith allowed Mike to drive (drive) there.
2. wrong adj. 错误的,不对的,其反义词为right。常用于句式What’s wrong ,表示“怎么了?”,相当于What’s the matter 。
3. big deal是英语中的一个固定搭配,表示“重要的事情”,多用于非正式交流。用来表达否定意义时,常说It’s not a big deal. 或It’s no big deal.,表示说话人并不认为某事有什么了不起。
4. look through意为“快速查看,浏览”。
5. too much,much too与too many 的区别:
too much意为“太多”,后接不可数名词;much too 意为“太”,后跟形容词或副词;too many 意为“太多”,修饰可数名词,后接名词复数。
6. 关于good的短语:
be good at... 擅长…… be good for... 对……有好处
be good to... 对……好 be good with... 善于应付……
7. Why don’t you +动词原形 相当于Why not+动词原形 。用于提出建议,意为“(你/你们)为什么不做某事呢?”。
Why don’t you talk (talk) to your parents
= Why not talk to your parents
8. so that意为“以便,为了”,引导目的状语从句,从句中常含有情态动词can,could,will,would等。
我乘了辆出租车,以便能早一点儿到那里。
I took a taxi so that I could get there earlier.

5. A find sb. doing sth. 意为“发现某人正在做某事”。句意:我发现一些女孩正在教室里愉快地交谈。
