Period 3 （Section B 1a-1d）
设计说明
　　本节课要学习的内容是欧洲童话故事《皇帝的新装》。通过学生讲中国故事导入本课的话题。利用图片教授本课新单词，完成1a任务，为下一步的活动扫清单词障碍。活动1b是让学生通过听录音了解故事的情节发展。可以先让学生预测故事的发展情节，并将1c的图片按顺序标号，然后听录音检查答案。1c则要求学生捕捉关键的语言信息，所以在听之前一定要预读所给出的句子。活动1d是听力的延续，可以让学生根据图片及自己记录的关键词将听到的信息用讲故事的形式进行恰当的输出。
教学目标

　　（2）掌握句型：①Nobody wanted to sound stupid. ②The emperor had to give them silk and gold，but they kept everything for themselves. ③They were trying to cheat the emperor. ④Two brothers came to the city to make special clothes for the emperor.

　　（1）掌握一定的听力技巧，能独立完成本节课的听力任务。
　　（2）能听懂《皇帝的新装》并会用英语讲故事。

　　1. Show a picture of a king without wearing clothes.
　　T：Today we’re going to tell a story from Europe.
　　Please look at this picture. Can you guess which story it is
　　Ss：The Emperor’s New Clothes. （板书新单词：emperor）
　　Teach the new words“gold，silk，underwear，nobody，stupid，cheat” in the same way.
　　2. Practice reading the new words.
　　3. Check.
　　（1）Choose the words according to the pictures.

　　Discuss the following language points in groups and fill in the blanks.

　　常见的“感觉”类连系动词：look（看起来），feel（摸上去），smell（闻起来），taste（尝起来），sound（听起来）等。连系动词后常跟形容词作表语。

答案与解析：
Ⅰ. 1. cheated　句意为“我完全信任他，可是昨天他欺骗了我”。cheat为动词，意为“欺骗”，由yesterday可知，此处应用cheat的过去式cheated。
2. whole　句意为“我花了整个上午做家庭作业”。whole作形容词，意为“全部的；所有的”，常用结构为“限定词+ whole+名词”。
3. silly/stupid　由“犯了这样的错误”可知，是在说自己愚蠢，因此应用silly或stupid。
4. silk　句意为“简的连衣裙看起来很漂亮，因为它是用丝绸做的”。
5. emperor　由“他是王子”可知，他的父亲是老皇帝。
Ⅱ. 1. B　由句意“吉姆的家人为他举行了一个惊喜派对”可知，此处应用介词for。
2. A　nobody“没有人”；somebody“某人”；anybody “任何人”；everybody“每个人”。根据答语“他们去戴夫的派对了”可知，空格所在句句意为“我发现房间里没有人”。故选A。
3. C　clever“聪明的”；smart“聪明的”；stupid“愚蠢 的”；intelligent“聪明的”。根据后半句“she believes the man who always tells lies.（她相信一个经常说谎的人）”可知，这个女士很愚蠢，故选C。
4. C　cheat作名词时，意为“骗子”，是可数名词。try to do sth.意为“试图（努力）做某事”；try doing sth. 意为“试着做某事”。根据句意“两个骗子试图欺骗皇帝”可知选C。
