Period 1 (Section A 1a-1c)
设计说明
  本课时以周末活动为主线,运用一般过去时谈论上个周末的活动。通过1a匹配周末活动和相对应的图片引出“What did you do last weekend ”句型,同时也学习一些重点短语;1b的听力继续以周末活动为话题进行谈论;1c是基于听力内容的口语操练活动。本课时可创设多种机会让学生在讨论周末活动的过程中多说英语、展示自我、张扬个性、体验快乐。
教学目标
  1. 知识目标:
  (1)掌握单词:camp,lake,beach,badminton。
  (2)掌握句型:What did...do last weekend 及其答语。
  2. 能力目标:
  (1)学会运用一般过去时询问上个周末所做的事情。
  (2)训练学生运用所学词汇及句型相互交流上个周末发生的事情。
  3. 情感目标:
  了解别人的周末活动,调整自己的活动安排,做到劳逸结合,使自己的周末充实而快乐。
重点难点
  1. 重点:
  (1)本课时所学词汇。
  (2)一般过去时,尤其是what引导的一般过去时的特殊疑问句。
  2. 难点:
  不规则动词的过去式和what引导的一般过去时的特殊疑问句。
教学准备
  1. 搜集描述周末活动的图片,以及湖泊、海滩、羽毛球的图片。
  2. 准备多媒体课件,1b的音频文件。
教学过程
  Step 1 Warming up & Leading in
  1. Warm up by reviewing the language points of UNIT 11.
  2. Warm up by reading a chant:
  What did you do What did you do yesterday
  I cleaned my room.
  Oh,yeah. I watched TV.
  Oh,yeah. I talked to friends.
  Oh,yeah. And I studied English.
  Oh,yeah.
  Step 2 Presentation
  1. Talk freely like this:
  T:Boys and girls. What day is it today
  Ss:It’s Monday.
  T:What day was yesterday
  Ss:It was Sunday.
  T:Good. I usually clean my room on Sunday. What do you usually do
  S1:I usually do my homework.
  T:I cleaned my room last Sunday. What did you do
  S1:I did my homework.
  S2:...
  (Guide the students to answer with the activities in 1a.)
  2. Learn the new words and phrases in the same way.
  Write them down on the blackboard.
  3. Present the new words and phrases.
  New words:camp,lake,beach,badminton(板书生词)
  Step 3 Practice
  1. Ask the students to practice reading the new phrases in 1a:did my homework,went to the cinema,went boating,camped by the lake,went to the beach,played badminton.
  2. T:Please look at the pictures in 1a. What did Lucy do last weekend
  S1:She did her homework.
  S2:She went to the beach.
  3. T:OK. Please match the activities with the pictures [a-f]. (After two minutes,check the answers.)
  Answers:1. a 2. d 3. e 4. f 5. b 6. c
  4. Ask and answer in pairs like this:
  A:What did you do last weekend
  B:I did my homework.
  5. Translate the phrases:
  做作业 do homework 去看电影 go to the cinema
  去划船 go boating 在湖边野营 camp by the lake
  去海滩 go to the beach 打羽毛球 play badminton
  6. Talk and learn.
  (1)camp作动词,意为“扎营”,常用短语:去野营go camping;也可作名词,意为“度假营;营地”,常用短语:夏令营summer camp,冬令营winter camp。
  (2)play badminton意为“打羽毛球”。play与表示球类运动的名词连用时,球类运动的名词前不加(加/不加)冠词。
  Step 4 Listening
  1. T:Let’s listen to the conversation between Bob and Lucy and write the day,morning,afternoon or night below each picture.
  Answers:a. night b. afternoon c. morning d. Saturday e. afternoon f. Sunday
  2. Listen again and fill in the chart.

  1. Work in groups of four. Fill in the chart.

答案与解析:
Ⅰ. 1. C 由该句的时间状语yesterday可知句子用一般过去时,故选项A是错误的;句中动词短语是do my homework,由一般过去时的否定句结构“主语+didn’t+动词原形+其他. ”可知答案是didn’t do,故选C。
2. B go camping是固定短语,意为“去野营”。
3. C 表示在具体某一天的上午、下午或晚上用介词on。
4. A 由答语可知问句意为“你爸爸上个周末做什么了?”,所以选A。
5. C 句意为“他们在海滩上正玩得很开心”。on the beach“在海滩上”,为固定搭配。
6. D badminton此处表示球类运动,play与表示球类运动的名词连用时,球类运动的名词前不用冠词。
Ⅱ. 1. A 由答句“好极了”可知问句应是“你的周末怎么样?”,所以选“How was your weekend ”。
2. C 根据答语的内容可判断问句是问“你做什么事情了?”,所以选“What did you do ”。
3. E 上文是介绍星期六所做的事情,下文是介绍星期天所做的事情,所以该句是问“星期天做什么了?”,故E项符合语境。
4. D 根据下文中的“Right. ”可知应选择D项“一个很好的周末,对吗?”。
5. B 由答语内容可推出该句是问“你上个周末做什么了?”,“What about you ”相当于“What did you do last weekend ”。
  Step 8 Homework
  1. Copy and read the new words:camp,lake,beach,badminton.
  2. Make a list and remember the past forms of the verbs we have learned.

  go—went
  3. Make a survey:What did your friend do last weekend And give a report next class.
