本课时采用情景教学模式,通过图文导入社团招聘和学生应聘的情景,让学生在参与、体验、合作中学习can的用法,引导学生逐步掌握本单元的主要语言知识,并培养学生在具体语境中运用语言知识进行交际的能力。

(1)掌握单词和短语:guitar,sing,swim,dance,draw,chess,speak,join,club;play chess,speak English,play the guitar。

1. Turn to page 1. Look at 1b. Listen and number the conversations [1-3].
2. Check the answers.

4. Listen to the conversations in 2a and circle the clubs you hear. (You can ask the students to look through the clubs before listening.)

1. Practice the conversations in 1b in pairs.
2. Make your own conversations.

(1)当play和球类或棋类名词搭配,表示“参与……”时,球类或棋类名词前不加冠词;当play和乐器类名词搭配,表示“吹,拉,弹奏等”时,乐器类名词前必须加定冠词the。
(2)can表示能力,意为“能;会”,没有(有/没有)人称和数的变化,其后的动词用原形,其否定式是在can后面加not,一般疑问句要将can置于句首。
(3)speak的用法
①speak作及物动词,后接语言类名词,意为“说某种语言”。
The girl can speak English.
这个女孩会说英语。
②speak作不及物动词时,强调开口说话的能力、方式,有“发言,讲话”之意。
I often speak at the meeting. 我经常在会上发言。
(4)join的常见用法
①join表示“参加(某个组织或团体,成为其成员)”。
—May I join the League 我可以入团吗?
—Certainly. 当然可以。
②join sb. 表示“加入某(些)人的行列”。
If you plant trees tomorrow,may I join you?
如果你们明天植树,我可以加入你们吗?
③“join in+活动”表示“参加活动”,相当于take part in。
May I join in your conversation
我可以加入你们的谈话吗?
