设计说明
  本课时继续深入学习Section A所学的句型结构。特点是规章制度出现的场所由“学校”转到“家庭”。 通过了解别人家里的规则来巩固目标语言,通过小组合作探究学习,使学生能够准确地谈论自己家里的一些规则,从而利用所学词汇及句型进行口语表达;本课时出现的短语较多,应在理解的基础上熟练掌握。
教学目标
  1. 知识目标:
  (1)掌握单词和短语:out,practice,dish,before;go out,do the dishes。
  (2)掌握句型:I have to do my homework after school.
  I must practice the guitar before dinner.
  I can’t go out on school nights.
  Dave has to do the dishes after dinner.
  2. 能力目标:
  能听懂谈论有关规则的对话并会描述校纪家规。
  3. 情感目标:
  理解家长,做一个遵规守矩的好学生。
重点难点
  1. 重点:
  (1)本课时重点单词及短语。
  (2)祈使句以及用can,can’t等表示允许、不允许。
  2. 难点:
  (1)用英语讨论有关规定。
  (2)情态动词can,can’t,must和have to的用法。
教学准备
  多媒体课件,1b/1c的音频文件。
教学过程
  Step 1 Revision & Leading in
  1. Free talk:What rules do you have at school or in the library Talk about them with your partner.
  2. Make a list about the rules you talked about. Write at least five pieces.
  3. Let some students tell their family rules.
  T:What are your rules in your family
  S1:I must clean the room and make the bed every day.
  S2:I can’t watch TV at night.
  ...
  Step 2  Presentation
  1. Show the pictures to the students.
    
  T:Do you have to do the dishes at home
  Ss:Yes,I do.
  Teach the words and phrases:dish,do the dishes,out,go out,practice,before. (板书新单词和短语)
  2. Read and translate the rules in the chart in 1b.
  3. Match the rules with the pictures in 1a.
  4. Check the answers.
  Answers:(自上而下)a,h,c,e,b,g,d,f
  Step 3 Listening
  1. Tell the students they’ll listen to the recording about Dave’s family rules. Listen and put an × for things Dave can’t do and a √ for things he has to or must do in the chart in 1b.
  (Play the recording for the students to listen and check.)
  2. Play the recording again for the students to check the answers.
  Answers:Can’t:see friends,watch TV
  Have to/Must:do his homework,practice the guitar,do the dishes,help his mom make breakfast,clean his room
  3. Ask the students to read the phrases aloud in 1c.
  Explain the meanings of the phrases if necessary.
  4. Play the recording for a third time for the students to listen and write the phrases in the chart in 1b. Then check the answers.

  5. Translate the following phrases into English.

  Step 4 Group work
  T:Now let’s talk about the rules in Dave’s house.
  1. The students work in pairs like that in 1d. Every student can say one rule. Then write down what the rules are when others say.
  2. Make a list of Dave’s family rules.
  3. Work in groups.
  (1)情态动词can的否定形式为can’t,其后跟动词 原形。
  I can’t see my friends on school days.
  在上学日我不能见我的朋友。
  (2)have to后接动词原形,意为“不得不”。
  I have to do my homework after school.
  放学后我不得不做家庭作业。
  (3)practice作动词时,其后可跟名词、代词或动词-ing形式。
  We should practice speaking (speak) English.
  我们应该练习说英语。
  (4)dish为可数名词,意为“碟;盘”,复数形式为dishes。
  (5)before作介词,意为“在……以前”,与after互为反义词,其后可接名词、代词或动词-ing形式。
  Wash your hands before eating (eat).
  吃东西之前要洗手。
  We must drink more water after running (run) long.
  长时间奔跑之后我们必须多喝水。
  Step 5 Survey
  Every family has their own family rules. What are the rules in your family Please make a survey in groups of four and fill in the chart.

  In this lesson,we have learned:
  1. New words and phrases:

Ⅰ. 1. go can为情态动词,其后应用动词原形,go out意为“出去,外出”。
2. dishes do the dishes意为“清洗餐具”。句意为“早饭后他不得不帮忙清洗餐具”。
3. clean 句意为“他必须每天打扫他的卧室”。
4. do have to后应接动词原形,do one’s homework为固定短语,意为“做家庭作业”。
5. nights 句意为“在上学日的晚上,我们既不能玩电脑游戏也不能看电视”。
Ⅱ. 1. before “刷牙”应在“睡觉”前。
2. Do,make “清洗餐具”用do the dishes表示,“做早饭”用make breakfast表示。
3. on on school nights意为“在上学日的晚上”。
4. has to have to有人称和数的变化;主语Dave为第三人称单数,故填has to。
5. playing practice作动词时,其后可跟名词、代词或动词-ing形式。

  1. Write a passage named “My Family Rules”. Write at least six sentences.
  2. Prepare Section B 2a-Self Check before class.
