Comic strip & Welcome to the unit
设计说明 首先通过自由会话谈论自己的能力, 然后呈现图片, 根据图片的内容导入新课, 接着学习句型“What ability do you have ”, 根据不同的图片来操练这个句型。针对Comic strip, 通过听对话回答问题, 阅读并表演的方式进行学习。对于Welcome to the unit, 通过展示图片来学习一些短语, 展示学生们的能力, 完成Part A。通过阅读Part B的对话完成表格, 练习该部分对话, 并通过模仿、编写对话来达到实际运用的目的。最后通过练习来复习本课时的内容。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学, 让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标: 掌握词汇: ability, believe, seat, send, even, able, pay, notebook, raise , believe it or not, look out, pay for。 2.能力目标: 谈论自己能为他人做的事情。 3.情感目标: 培养学生关心和帮助他人的意识。 重点难点 1.重点: 学习新学单词和短语, 并能灵活使用。 2.难点: 学会如何表达能力。 教学准备 PPT 课件;相关图片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Have a free talk. Ask the students to talk freely and say something about their abilities. —What can you do —I can sing/dance/… Step 2 Presentation Show them some pictures to present different abilities, and learn the new pattern. (1) play basketball What can he do He can play basketball. Playing basketball is his ability. (2) sing She can sing. Singing is her ability. She has the ability to sing. (3) ride bikes What ability do they have They have the ability to ride bikes. (4) fly What ability do the birds have They have the ability to fly. The superman can fly, too. Step 3 Practice Show them a group of pictures. Ask them to practice the patterns. What abilities do they have He can play table tennis. He can play football. He can swim. They can plant trees. Step 4 Comic strip 1. Ask students to listen to the tape about Hobo and Eddie. Answer the questions. (1) What does Eddie think of himself (2) Can he fly Answers: (1) He thinks he is Superdog. (2) No, he can’t. 2. Listen and read the dialogue in pairs. 3. Act it out. Step 5 Welcome to the unit 1. We can send some to them. 我们可以给他们寄一些。 send sth. to sb. = send sb. sth. 寄给某人某物 I often send some postcards to my friends. = I often send my friends some postcards. 我经常给朋友们寄一些明信片。 3. Some families are not even able to pay for pens and notebooks. 有些家庭甚至付不起笔和笔记本的钱。 (1) be able to 表示“能, 会”, 与can同义, 其后加动词原形。 I am able to fly a kite. 我会放风筝。 Are you able to drive a car 你会开车吗? (2) pay v.付费 ①pay for sth. 为某物付钱 I can pay for the book now. 我可以现在付书款。 ②pay (sb.) money for sth. 付钱(给某人)买某物 He paid ten yuan for the book. 他花十元买了这本书。 ③pay for sb. 替某人付钱 Don’t worry!
