设计说明 首先复习学过的表示能力的句型“What can …do ”, 通过图片导入“He can play the piano.”, 然后呈现新短语be good at 和do well in。再用图片呈现“I can play the violin.”, 由此自然过渡到Speak up, 提问: What can Sandy do What can Daniel do 听并找出答案, 然后操练句型。呈现一则学习报告, 通过问题来回答和猜测, 以训练其听力技巧, 即听前预测。然后通过听来完成与学习报告单相关的信息。之后介绍如何使用图书馆, 最后利用练习来复习巩固本节课知识。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学, 让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标: 掌握词汇: term, hard, article, careless, piano, better, violin, show, do/try one’s best, do well in, at the age of。 2.能力目标: (1)能从听力材料中获取信息; (2)能用所得信息完成个人学业成绩报告; (3)能运用常用表达谈论个人能力, 尤其是过去到现在的变化。 3.情感目标: 培养学生正确认识自己的能力, 尽力做好该做的一切。 重点难点 1.重点: 能从听力材料中获取信息, 并能用所得信息完成个人学业成绩报告; 掌握与其相关的交际用语、单词和短语, 并能灵活使用。 2.难点: 掌握并灵活使用生词和短语。 教学准备 PPT 课件;相关图片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Ask and answer the following questions: What can you do What can Superman do What can…do Step 2 Presentation 1. Show them a picture and present the sentences: What can he do He can play the piano. He is good at playing the piano. He does well in playing the piano. 2. Show them another picture and present the sentences: What can I do I can play the violin. I am not good at playing the violin, but I often do/try my best. Step 3 Speak up 1. Show some questions and ask them to listen and get the answers. (1) What can Daniel do (2) What can Sandy do Answers: (1) He can play the violin. (2) She can play the piano. 2. Read the Speak up on Page 88 and answer more questions. (1) When did Daniel start to play the violin (2) When did Sandy start to play the piano Answers: (1) He started to play the violin at the age of six. (2) She started to play the piano when she was five. 3. Listen and repeat. 4. Make up similar dialogues in pairs with the help of some useful expressions. Useful expressions: Can you play…/What can you … at the age of six/when I was six Can you show me how to play/do … How wonderful! What a nice voice you have! What nice music! That’s great! I hope/I’m sure you will… Step 4 Listen and practice 1. Show the notes in A1. Read the sentences and try to understand each of them. Answer or guess some questions. I started to play the violin at the age of six. 我六岁的时候开始拉小提琴。 (1) start/begin to do sth. 开始做某事 Suddenly, it started/began to rain. 突然, 天开始下雨。 (2) at the age of 在……岁的时候, 相当于when…years old。 I learnt to cook at the age of ten. = I learnt to cook when I was ten years old. 我在十岁时学习做饭。 Step 6 Study skills 1. Tell students how to use a library. A library is a useful place to find information. Remember the following points when you look for information in a library: ·Books about different subjects are put in different sections. ·Books are organized according to topics. Books about similar topics are put in the same area. ·Novels are arranged in alphabetical order according to the authors’ surnames. ·Librarians are there to help you.
