设计说明 通过谈论最喜欢的宠物, 导入对本课节的学习; 借助相关的图片, 呈现并学习本课的新词汇; 通过听力判断正误、听力填信息、听力回答问题等活动, 训练学生从听力材料中听取信息的能力; 在听力练习的基础上让学生组织对话, 使学生比较自然地实现语言的输出。通过Study skills部分, 使学生学会如何在因特网上查找信息, 同时引导学生要正确合理地利用网络。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学, 让学生达成以下目标: 1. 知识目标: 掌握词汇: weigh, talk, noise, brush, grow up。 2. 能力目标: (1)能在听力材料中找出金鱼的具体特征; (2)能用已获取的信息完成对话。 3. 情感目标 引导、培养学生照顾、保护宠物。 重点难点 1. 重点: 培养学生根据上下文猜测词义的能力。 2. 难点: 能用英语谈论自己喜欢的宠物。 教学准备 PPT 课件; 相关图片。 授课时数 2课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Ask students to talk about their favourite pets. A: What’s your favourite pet B: My favourite pet is the…(cat, dog…) A: What is he/she like B: … A: How do you look after it B: … Tips: long ears, beautiful eyes, cute face, like exercise a lot, do wonderful tricks, walk the dog, brush her/his fur… Step 2 Presentation 1. Show some pictures to learn the new words of Integrated skills. 2. Ask students to talk about how to look after a goldfish and ask some questions. (1) Can you put a goldfish in the sun (2) Is a goldfish heavy (3) Does a goldfish weigh several kilograms (4) Does it need clean water (5) Can you pick it up with your hands (6) Does it need special fish food (7) Is it very easy to look after a goldfish (8) Is a goldfish very expensive Step 3 Listening and filling 1. Finish Part A1 on Page 99. Listen to a talk and help Peter check if the notes are T (true) or F (false). 1 Pick up goldfish with your hands. 2 Put your goldfish in the sun. 3 A goldfish can weigh up to 40 grams. 4 Some goldfish are black. 5 Goldfish are easy to look after. 6 Goldfish are very expensive. Listen to the conversation of Speak up, and read after it. 2. Ask the students to listen to the conversation and answer the following questions. (2) She brushes her cat’s fur every day. (3) He puts his fish in clean water, and never feeds them too much. 3. Ask students to make a dialogue with their partners. Step 5 Language points 1. A goldfish can weigh up to 40 grams. 一条金鱼可重达40克。 weigh连系动词 重; 有……重 weigh也可以用作及物动词, 意为“称……的重量”, 其名词形式为weight, 意为“重量”。 How much does an elephant weigh = What’s the weight of an elephant 一头大象有多重?
