设计说明 先通过图片展示复习有关宠物的单词, 让学生通过Pairwork练习上节课所学内容, 同时引出本课节内容; 通过有关宠物的文段, 展示本课节新单词, 为接下来的诗歌学习做好铺垫; 通过朗读有关宠物的诗, 让学生了解诗的押韵; 通过做教材活动练习, 进一步理解有关宠物的诗; 通过对教材重点知识的讲解, 帮助学生掌握本课节的重难点内容; 通过当堂达标, 检测学生对本课节的掌握情况。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学, 让学生达成以下目标: 1. 知识目标: 掌握词汇: poem, wide, hide, build, camp, stick, fight, till, end, trouble, touch, care, look after, take care of。 2. 能力目标: (1) 能了解诗歌的押韵规律、重音和语调; (2) 能阅读有关动物行为的诗歌; (3) 能运用新词汇谈论宠物。 3. 情感目标: 引导、教育学生保护宠物、爱护宠物。 重点难点 1. 重点: 能了解诗歌的押韵规律、重音和语调。 2. 难点: 能阅读有关动物行为的诗歌。 教学准备 PPT 课件; 相关图片, Reading部分的课文录音。 授课时数 2课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in 1. Show some pictures to review the words about pets. 2. Get the students to ask and answer in pairs about the reasons they like the pets. Step 2 Presentation Show a short passage to lead in some important words and phrases in the Reading. I also want to have a pet dog. I can play games with him. When I hide, he will hunt for me with eyes open wide. When I throw a ball, he will run after it. He can not just play with me. He also does wonderful tricks. He can use sticks to build camps. He can bring me newspapers. He can even skate! But my parents don’t like it. They are afraid of dogs, because dogs may bite people. Dogs also like to fight. When visitors come, they will bark. Step 3 Reading Task 1 1. Read the poem “My dog” and try to understand it. Here is a poem about a dog. Please read it and answer the questions. (1) What does my dog do (2) What doesn’t my dog do (3) What is my dog like Possible answers: (1) He runs after a ball. He hunts when I hide. He does wonderful tricks, builds me camps out of sticks. (2) He doesn’t bark or bite and he doesn’t like to fight. (3) He is the cleverest animal of all. 2. Ask the students to match the sentences in B2. Simon introduces the poem “My dog” to his cousin Annie. He wants to make sure that Annie understands it. Match the lines from the poem with their meanings. Write the correct letters in the blanks. Answers: 1 b 2 c 3 a 4 e 5 d 3. Some of the words in the poem rhyme. Please read the poem and find out how it rhymes. My dog My dog is the cleverest animal of all. He doesn’t just run after a ball. My dog is my best friend, And I’ll look after him till the end. 4. Read the poem “My dog” again. Pay attention to stress, pronunciation and intonation. (注意重音、发音和语调。) Task 2 1. 3. Ask the students to finish B3. Peter’s favourite pet is a goldfish. He is telling Amy why he likes his goldfish. Read the poem about goldfish on page 94 again and help him complete his sentences.
