设计说明 首先通过老师和学生之间的自由交流，呈现本版块要介绍的世界上的国家，再一一呈现各个国家的首都。在学生初步了解了主要的国家之后，再进一步呈现各个国家的标志性建筑。在学生具备了一定的常识和语言基础后，让学生进行听读训练。综合所学的有关国家的知识后，让学生讨论他们心目中最喜欢的国家以及他们想要在哪个国家生活，将所学的知识一步一步地升华到本单元有关理想家园的话题。最后通过Eddie 和Hobo的对话，让学生懂得家的重要性。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学，让学生达成以下目标： 1.知识目标 掌握词汇：palace, next to, town, Canada, France, Japan, Russia, UK, London, country, capital。 2.能力目标 (1)能认读本单元中六个国家及其标志性景点的名称； (2)能用英语介绍这些国家及其首都。 3.情感目标 帮助学生培养正确的家庭观。 重点难点 1.重点：能认读本单元中六个国家及其标志性景点的名称。 2.难点：能用英语介绍这些国家及其首都。 教学准备 PPT 课件；Comic strip和Welcome to the unit部分的录音，有关国家标志性景点的图片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up Have a free talk. Do you like travelling What places of interest have you ever been to(曾经去过） Would you like to go abroad Step 2 Presentation 1. Present the countries around the world. 2. Ask the students to talk about the countries. the USA France the UK Canada Japan Russia 3. Ask the students to fill in the blanks. Answers:Washington D.C.; London; Paris; Tokyo; Moscow; Ottawa Step 3 Practice 1. Present the different places of interest from these countries by showing pictures, especially the famous places of interest that can represent these countries. Finish Part A on page 7 and practise like this: Mount Fuji is in Japan. Listen to Part B on page 7 and answer: (1)What country are they talking about (2)What’s in the photo (3)Is it in Tokyo Answers: (1)They’re talking about Japan. (2)It’s Mount Fuji. (3)No. It’s near Tokyo. 2. Ask the students to read the conversation in pairs. Annie: Which country is this photo from, Simon Simon: Oh, it’s from Japan. This is Mount Fuji. Annie: I see. Where is it Simon: It’s near Tokyo. Annie: Is Tokyo the capital of Japan Simon: Yes, it is. 3. Ask the students to make their own conversations. Sample conversation: A: Which country is this photo from B: It’s from Canada. This is the CN Tower. A: Oh, I see. Where is it B: It’s in Toronto. A: Is Toronto the capital of Canada B: No, it isn’t. The capital of Canada is Ottawa. 4. Have a discussion. If you have enough money and time, which country would you like to visit Why Do you want to live in this country Why Step 5 Comic strip 1. Listen to Eddie and Hobo’s dialogue and answer the questions.
