Lesson 44: Environment Clubs
设计说明 首先,通过展示生动直观的图片激发学生的学习兴趣;同时通过师生间的对话引出本课的话题Environment Clubs(环境俱乐部),然后带领学生一同学习本节课的生词。接下来,通过播放录音,听短文让学生掌握单词的正确发音;再者,读短文。利用Let’s Do It!中的练习题对文章内容进行巩固。最后,进行综合训练,检验学生掌握的情况。本节课从多个角度、多种形式对本课的语言知识进行练习,从而达到教学目的,实现教学目标。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:least, pollute, waste, shut 接触单词:reduce, reusable , skip , packaging , leaky , litre , sink , electricity 短语和句型:throw away; neither... nor...; shut down; How much garbage do you throw away after lunch 2.能力目标 (1)掌握一些与保护环境有关的词汇和重点句子; (2)运用所学的知识介绍环境俱乐部。 3.情感目标 谈论如何身体力行保护环境,减少污染,能用英语设计有关保护环境的海报。号召学生保护环境从生活小事做起,增强学生珍惜和爱护地球的情感意识。 重点难点 1.重点:掌握及了解有关环保的单词和短语。 2.难点:能读懂并说出减少污染从而保护环境的有效办法。 教学准备 PPT 课件;本课节用到的录音 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Leading in T: Hello,boys and girls! Look at the following pictures and answer the questions. T: Do you think the characters in the pictures are correct Ss: No. T: What should we do in the right way S1: We should throw the rubbish into the trash can. ... T: Look at the following pictures. What can we do to stop pollution Ss: Turn off the tap, pick up litter, take a shower. Step 2 New words In this lesson we are going to learn some sentences about “clean up”. At first let’s learn the new words. Step 3 Thinking about it · What do you do when you see somebody throwing garbage on the ground · Does your school have an environment club Step 4 Listening 1. Listen to the lesson and tick the activities mentioned. 2. Ask the students to check the answers in groups. Answers: Step 5 Reading Read the lesson and answer the questions. 1. Why do many students join environment clubs in North America? 2. Why do the students take their own bags when they go shopping? 3. How do the students in an environment club save water?How do they save electricity? Answers: 1. Because they want to reduce pollution and protect the environment. 2. Because it’s a good way to reduce packaging. 3. They fix leaky toilets and sinks. Turn off the lights when they leave a room. Turn off televisions and shut down computers when they are not using them. Step 6 Discussion 1. Divide the class into small groups. Ask each group to discuss the following topics in English: (1) According to the reading, what things do North American students do to stop pollution or to make less pollution (Have no-garbage lunches! Have no-car days! Save water!) (2) What have you done at school to stop pollution (3) What can you do to make less pollution 2. Ask some groups to share their ideas with the rest of the class. How much garbage do you throw away after lunch? 午饭后你们扔掉多少垃圾? throw away丢掉,扔掉。它相当于throw out/throw off。该短语是动副型短语,当宾语是代词时,要放在throw与away之间;当宾语是名词时,置于throw与away之间或away之后均可。 Don’t throw away the old bottles.
