Lesson 48: Garbage Is Interesting！
设计说明 首先结合图片学习本课节的新单词，然后展示用垃圾制作出的新物品的图片，这不仅可以吸引学生的注意力，还能让学生意识到垃圾回收利用是一件有趣且有意义的事情，同时引出本课的话题Garbage is interesting(垃圾很有趣)，并引入教材Think about it的学习。然后，通过播放课文的录音，熟悉课文；接着，读短文。利用Let’s Do It!中的练习题对文章内容进行巩固。最后，通过小组讨论和小组合作，调动学生的积极性，巩固所学的知识,并锻炼语言表达能力。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学，学生达成以下目标： 1.知识目标 掌握单词：used, divide, seat, ton 接触单词：pile, lid, duty 短语和句型：divide...into..., make...out of I think it’s our duty to protect the environment. 2.能力目标 (1)掌握一些与保护环境有关的词汇和重点句子； (2)能够运用英语谈论环保问题。 3.情感目标 了解自己所生活的环境的污染问题，培养责任感。 以身作则，采取措施来保护自己周边的环境。 重点难点 1.重点：掌握本课节中的I think it’s our duty to...句型的用法。 2.难点：能用流利地道的英语进行有关环保问题的实际交流。 教学准备 PPT 课件；本课节用到的录音 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1　New words In this lesson we are going to learn some sentences about “Garbage is interesting”. At first let’s learn the new words： used; divide; seat; ton Step 2　Leading in T: Look at the pictures.What are they made of Ss: They are made of some garbage. T: You’re right. Garbage is not useless and it can be made into many useful things. Do you want to know what they can be made into Today we’ll learn about it in this lesson. Step 3　Thinking about it ·Do you think garbage is interesting？ ·What have you done in a schoolyard clean up？ Step 4　Listening Listen to the tape and answer the questions. 1. Why did Jenny and her classmates clean up the schoolyard on Tuesday 2. What garbage was there the most Answers: 1. Because it was World Environment Day.　2. Paper. Step 5　Reading Read the text and fill in the table. This weekThey learned about pollution.
