Lesson 14: Amazing Animals
设计说明 首先,展示几幅奇特动物的图片,并谈论其奇特的原因,引入本课话题。接着,展示本课所谈论的四种奇特的动物——长耳跳鼠、几维、长鼻猴和飞鱼,并通过讨论它们学习本课生词;且利用Let’s Do It! No.2的习题进行巩固练习。然后,利用Let’s Do It! T: Look at the animals. Are they amazing Let’s talk about them. Have you seen the animals What’s their names Are they amazing Why What animals do you think are amazing tree frog 树蛙 cacajao calvus 白秃猴 hummingbird 蜂鸟 Step 2 Presentation Teach the new words mouse, kiwi, lay, long-nosed, eggplant, shake, flap, avoid and the phrase long-eared jerboa with the pictures by talking about them. 1. T: Look at the animal. What does it look like It looks like a mouse. But it has long ears. So we call it long-eared jerboa. Look at this one! We all know it’s a mouse, too. So mouse has two meanings. And its plural form is mice. long-eared jerboa长耳跳鼠 /d b / mouse /ma s/ n. (pl. mice /ma s/) 2. T: What’s the name of the bird It’s from New Zealand. Its name is kiwi. It can lay eggs. kiwi / ki wi / n. 几维 3. T: Look! This is a kind of monkeys. Do you know its name It’s a long-nosed monkey. Why Because its nose looks like an eggplant.
