Lesson 28: Ms. Liu’s Great Idea
设计说明 首先通过老师带领学生认读关于诚信的名言, 引入本课, 接着利用图片呈现本课的新词, 并进行练习；接着通过观察图片, 认识无人售货商店, 引入教材的学习。然后, 通过听读练习。利用Let’s do it!中的练习进行巩固。最后, 利用第4题做笔头练习, 由听、说、读的训练过渡到写的训练。本节课从多个角度、多种形式上对本课的语言知识进行练习, 从而达到教学目的, 实现教学目标。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学, 学生达成以下目标: 1. 知识目标 掌握单词: husband, gate, honest, value, trust 接触单词: appreciate, honesty, trusting, motto 短语和句型: be surprised to This shop would be a good way for students to learn the value of honesty. 2.能力目标 (1)能用英语谈论诚实和诚实的重要性； (2)能用英语表达如何做到诚实守信。 3.情感目标 做一个诚实的人 重点难点 1.重点: 掌握本课节的单词和短语。 2.难点: 能用英语表达如何做到诚信。 教学准备 PPT课件；本课节用到的录音 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1　Warming up T: Please read the following sentences with me. 1. Honesty is the best policy. 诚实为上策。 2. An honest man’s word is as good as his bond. 君子一言，驷马难追。 3. Poor but honest. 虽贫穷，要诚实。 4. Only one thing in the world is not language; that is honest. 世界上只有一样东西是不用语言说话的，那就是诚实。 Ask students to translate them into Chinese. T: What are these sentences talking about Ss: Honesty. T: OK. Honesty is a very important character to us. Today we’re going to learn a story about honesty. Step 2　New words: 1. Learn about the new words:husband, gate, honest, appreciate, value, trust, be surprised to. husband gate motto appreciate honest value 2. When did the story happen Where did the story happen Who is in this story What happened in this story Step 8　Practice An example Last Sunday, I went to a store to buy a birthday gift for my friend. I spent one hour choosing a good gift and I went over to the seller to pay for it. The gift cost me 50 yuan. Then I gave a ￥50 note to him and he gave me a bag for taking the gift. When I walked out of the store, I found a ￥50 note in the bag which was very familiar to mine. Suddenly I realized it was the note that I gave to the seller. I went back to the seller. He didn’t realize he put the note into the bag instead of his pocket until I took the note to him. After that, some people think I am honest while some feel it is foolish of me to give the money back. What about your opinion Step 9　Summary 1. We appreciate your honesty! 我们感谢你的诚实！ appreciate为动词, 有很多含义。 (1) 欣赏, 赏识 We all appreciate her talent for music. 我们都很欣赏她的音乐天赋。 (2) 感谢, 感激 They deeply appreciated his kindness. 他们深深地感激他的善良。 2. We were surprised to find that the farmer was so trusting. 我们惊讶地发现这个农民竟如此信任别人。 (1)be surprised to 惊讶于…… I am surprised to hear the news. 听到这个消息, 我很惊讶。 辨析：surprising与surprised We are surprised at the surprising news. 我们对这个令人吃惊的消息感到惊讶。 (2) trusting作形容词, 表示“容易相信他人的, 轻信的”。 He is a shy and trusting child.他是一个既害羞又容易相信别人的孩子。 【拓展】①trust作动词, 意思是“信任, 信赖；依靠”。 I trust him completely. 我完全信任他。 I can’t trust my memory. I’d better write everything down. 我不能相信我的记忆。我最好把所有的东西都写下来。 ②trust还可以作名词, 意思是“信任, 信赖”。 I have no trust in him.我对他不信任。 3.
